It is fall here in Lima, Peru, and we have had a very busy one this year. One of the ministries the Lord has given us here is one of encouraging and helping the local pastors. Many of the pastors in the southern districts of Lima are diligently working to start new churches and build and evangelize their areas. Many are looking for training, both for themselves and for their young people wishing to serve the Lord in the ministry. I had the blessing to preach and teach recently to more than 30 pastors, their families, and their workers, with more than 200 people present. God has really moved on the hearts of these dear men of God to do more for Him. We will begin teaching classes on church planting, doctrine, and leadership in different areas of Southern Lima, starting in June. Please pray as we continue to work with these great men of faith.
Our church is planning a six-week training session on the subject of biblical music. We hope to be an encouragement to our people as they learn what the Bible has to say about music. Please pray that God will be glorified in this endeavor. The classes will meet in June and the first part of July.
We have seen many people trust Christ as their Saviour through the personal soul winning of our family and church members and through the public services of Iglesia Bautista Internacional. More than 55 people trusted Christ in the months of April and May. Please pray with us that many will take the steps of faith of baptism and regular church attendance.
Many of you prayed for Karin’s mom, as she suffered a massive stroke recently. Praise the Lord that she is recovering well and has very few lasting health problems from the stroke. We do ask that you continue to pray for her. It is very difficult to be away from your family during times like these. Karin was able to spend two weeks with her mother immediately following the stroke, and we do thank those of you who helped make that trip possible.
We have a high school graduate in the family! Thank you to all who have prayed for our children. We are pleased to announce the graduation of Zachary Eric Foust, Jr. from the Lighthouse Christian Academy, Class of 2016. We are very proud of Zach for all of his hard work and dedication to his studies and also his service to our Lord. He will be heading off to Bible college in the fall. We will miss him dearly in our home. We will also miss him in our church, as he will leave a great hole to be filled. Pictured below is a new family photo and also Zachary’s senior picture.
As always, we greatly appreciate each of our praying friends and those churches and individuals that support our work financially. Please continue to pray for us.
His for souls,
Zach and Karin Foust
Zachary, Caleb, and Logan
