Fisa Mihy-Mihyndu Prayer Letter: Home-Based Bible Studies Producing Multiple Salvations

On behalf of the entire Fundamental Baptist Church family of Libreville, thank you very much for your sustained, uplifting support! It is written, ”And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.” (Acts 16:32-33) God created countless opportunities for us to stay busy these past few months.

SALVATIONS

To see, nearly daily, souls receive Jesus Christ by faith as their personal Saviour is surely an indescribable blessing. ”And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” (Luke 14:23) Here is what God did:

• Charna, whose dad is a pastor and attended church for years, got saved.
• Elsa and Nadia, two sisters, heard the Gospel, got saved, came to our church, and decided to make it their home church.
• Several souls trusted Jesus Christ as Saviour during some home-based Bible studies and came to church.
• Six high school students trusted Jesus Christ as Saviour.
• At least 60 souls trusted Jesus Christ as Saviour. To God be the glory!

BAPTISM

It is written, ”Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” (Acts 2:41) Three born-again believers decided to follow the Lord Jesus Christ in believer’s baptism and are actively sharing their faith and faithfully attending church.

DISCIPLESHIP

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19) For our discipleship program . . .

• About 80 percent of the church family is participating in an around-the-clock prayer chain: children, teenagers, and adults.
• About 20 souls per house are attending home-based Bible studies. We recorded several salvations, several decisions for baptism, and an increase in church attendance.
• At least 40 people go soul winning weekly.
• At least 9 soul winners have been added.
• At least 3 new visitors have attended every Sunday.
• We started a Bible-study, home-assignment program for the entire church as part of our soul-winning training program.

Please continue to pray for those with Charismatic backgrounds to learn sound Bible doctrine.

MINISTRY

It is written, ”The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” (I Corinthians 12:7) God blessed us in the following ways:
• We have had 22 new members added to the church family.
• We have 20 souls on average per home attending weekly, home-based Bible studies.
• We have 9 new Christian workers.
• About 30,000 John and Romans and 30,000 Gospel tracts have been distributed.
• US$10,000 from a Christian family was donated towards the purchase of the soul-winning bus and current rental property for the church. THANK YOU!!
• US$32,000 was pledged for the land. We have already spent US$45,100 in rent from 2021 to 2025. We spend US$1,100 each month for rent.
• US$14,000 was raised for the soul-winning bus.
