A Busy Summer
The year is flying by! It seemed like just yesterday that we were announcing the beginning of the year, and now our year is halfway over—just 25 Sundays left. That’s sobering, isn’t it? Even so, 45 people have trusted Christ since the beginning of the year, and our church has had 90 first-time visitors. Also this summer we had a record summer crowd of 109 in a Sunday morning service!
More to Come
Our Vacation Bible School is in August, and we expect to have over 50 kids coming. Our church people are gearing themselves up for the program. Please be in prayer as we seek to win young souls to the Saviour in this endeavour. Also we are planning monthly teen rallies starting in September to encourage the next generation to trust Christ for Heaven and live for Him.
Still Out Soul Winning
We have many ideas in reaching new people for Christ. One such idea has been to set up a book table in the busy town centre. But anyone who knows me knows that I won’t be waiting for people to come over and look. Nope! We are approaching people with the Gospel of Christ. This time-tested method still works, and it results with visitors in church. Many are being affected, souls are being saved, and thousands of Gospel tracts are being handed out.
Prayer Requests
I hope that many are still praying for Brother Darrell Moore as he continues forward in his knee surgery and recovery. We are praying and hoping that he will be able to be with us in September to preach and counsel us in our ministry.
Please continue to pray for grace and strength for Mary Beth’s mom, Nyna Kaminer. She is now under hospice care at home and battles daily with pain and breathing difficulties. My father, Ron Solt, is struggling with dementia and Mom (Anne) with the challenges of being his caregiver. The long distance certainly weighs on us at times like these.
Daniel will be off to Hyles-Anderson College in August, and he would appreciate your prayer support as he makes the transition from being born and raised in the UK to living in the US. Culture shock! And, of course, we will miss our “organizer.” Josh turns 16 this summer—get ready world—and he’s taller than his dad now! Jeremy (13) is teaching himself piano and works so diligently on his own. We pray for a godly piano tutor for him this year.
If we could open the future windows of Heaven, would we see the faces of those saved as a result of the missionary endeavors in which we have invested prayer and support? Absolutely! Amen!
Yours for souls,
The Solt Family
