Thanks for Your Faithfulness!
Recently, we travelled to the States to attend the graduation ceremony of our oldest son Daniel from Hyles-Anderson College. He did very well to graduate with several honors, but the best of all was his chancellor’s award for soul winning. There is no greater joy than to realize that your children are burdened to lead souls to our Lord Jesus Christ! Joshua will enter his junior year at HAC next fall and is doing great! Please pray for their safety and health this summer, as both young men stay busy at work and on their bus routes in Chicago. Thanks to you, our friends, for years of prayer and faithful support to keep us on the field and to make this all possible. Our lads have been raised with the knowledge of your steadfast support behind our family. Missions work is teamwork, home and abroad!
Summer Soul Winning
So far this year, we have had 61 first-time visitors in our church and 31 souls who have trusted Christ, with 3 following the Lord in believer’s baptism! We look forward to a summer of soul-winning and visitation opportunities. It is our prayer that the attendance will grow over the summer. Please continue to pray for us as we continue our endeavour in this spiritually needy place!
God Working in Lives
This year started with having to say “goodbye for now” to two long-standing members of our church. Even though we miss them, we know that they are rejoicing in God’s presence in Heaven. Now we see God at work. New people are attending, with some joining in membership, and the faithful members are stepping up into positions of help and leadership. It’s encouraging to watch the Holy Spirit at work as the church is replenished with faithful Christians serving God.
More Family News
When we travelled to Daniel’s graduation, we met our son’s future in-laws, the Strong family. Daniel and Rachel are to be married in September. They are surrendered missionaries, and we look forward to watching God’s plan for them unfold. While travelling, our friends at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lebanon, Indiana, voted us in for support! And it was good to share a weekend with the Hurst family down in Williamsburg, Kentucky. What a blessing it was to see their steadfast service for Christ! We enjoyed visiting Mary Beth’s relatives in Kentucky, and then I flew to Arizona to be with my parents for a week. It was a relief to see them doing well. I spent time with local pastors in Prescott and then preached at Sun Valley Baptist Church in Anthem, Arizona. What an exciting work! Through it all, we realize how God has used you in our lives. The prayers, gifts, meals, lodging, and kind words mean so much! God bless you.
Yours for souls,
The Solt Family
