December was a special month to cap off a wonderful year of deputation. The month began with Bible Baptist Church in New Port Richey, Florida. Pastor Stidham and the church family are avid ambassadors for Christ, and we were encouraged to be with them. We loved soul winning in the sunshine. Glory! Returning north, we spent a Wednesday night service with Pastor Worley and Freedom Baptist Church in Eastover, North Carolina. God gave us a sweet night with them.
The following Sunday, God allowed us to be with two wonderful churches in Central Illinois (See pictures). We also were able to reconnect with West Lawn Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois, during their midweek service. For decades, they have been faithful supporters of my parents. Our last official meeting of 2023 was with Bible Baptist Church in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. They made us feel right at home. God is so good to provide us many opportunities throughout the year during busy times and slow times! All praise to Him!
Soul Report
In 2023, God allowed us to have a part in witnessing to 69 souls, with 22 accepting Christ (14 were saved during the VBS in England). During this month, we shared the Gospel with 2 souls and were able to pass out many tracts.
Family Update
We spent the Christmas season with Rachel’s family in Montana, with all of her siblings traveling into town. It was truly a Christmastime to remember! We also enjoyed being with Rachel’s home church, Florence Baptist Church. It was an honor to preach the New Year’s Eve message there. Taking advantage of some downtime, I was able to pursue Ruby’s British citizenship application. After seeking some legal advice, it has been revealed to me that I will be unable to pass on my citizenship to her because of a slight technicality. While this is a disappointment, we are amazed at God’s hand of provision to help with the added visa cost.
We ended the year with our support level at 55%. Thanks be to God for His protection and provision! A special thanks to the 40 churches and 3 families that have faithfully given towards our ministry work for Christ. Also, a note of thanks to the 75 churches we visited in 2023. And finally, thank you to all of our existing and new prayer partners!
Prayer Requests
1. Safety as we travel during the winter months
2. Opportunities to present the Gospel
3. Wisdom on when to start Rachel and Ruby’s visa applications
Ruby’s Adventures
In the midst of all the family busyness this Christmas, it has been fun to watch Ruby pick up the names of her family members and even friends at church. Her memory is like a sponge. She is certainly a social butterfly, who also celebrated her second birthday this month! Thank you to everyone who loved on our daughter this year! She is a treasure to us.
May our lives glorify Him,
Daniel, Rachel, and Ruby Solt
