I would like to thank you for praying for the hangar situation. God has blessed us with a place to keep the airplane. As is His usual way of doing things, He provided more than we asked for. The pastor of one of our supporting churches in Waco, Texas, called me and said that he had found a hangar that was available for our use at a local ministry called Wings for Christ! Praise the Lord! He asked a group of men from his church if they could help us move the airplane. With their help, we loaded everything up on two trailers and moved it to Waco. This new location is only one hour from the prophet’s chamber where we have been staying, so that is great as well. God is so good!
Immediately after getting the airplane moved, we needed to head out on the road for a conference. We had the opportunity to present our ministry in new churches in Texas, Alabama, and Florida. We enjoyed the conference in Florida, which was our first “round-robin” conference. Five churches each hosted one missionary family. Each missionary family was able to spend one day with each of the churches. After the conference, we were able to attend one day at the annual Sun ’n Fun Aerospace Expo. I needed some parts and supplies for the airplane work, and I was able to get quite a few things at great prices.
After returning to Texas, we started organizing the hangar space. After a week or so of commuting to work in the hangar, Wings for Christ asked us if we might want to stay in their office building, which happens to be a mobile home. Of course, we said YES! Now we have a place for the airplane, along with a place to stay right on the property near the hangar, which will make working on the airplane so much easier. I love watching God work!
We have had several people coming to help regularly with the work. A.J. has helped almost every day with the paint stripping. Jak has helped with paint stripping and sanding. Isaac just got his A&P license and has been out a few times so far to help. He plans on coming out more after the summer work rush is over.
Irene was invited by a supporting church in Grandview, Texas, to attend a Ladies’ Retreat at a Bible camp in Louisiana. She was able to go with them and had a great time, and she got the chance to know them better.
We were able to completely pay off the airplane engine upgrade kit! We were excited to travel to Kansas to pick it up. It is now in the hangar waiting for the rest of the work to be finished so that it can be installed. We also were able to order and pay for the STOL modifications and new windows. I am now working almost every day on the airplane so that we can get all the work done. We still need to raise the funds for the instruments and some other smaller things, but God has been providing what we need!
The runway work is well underway at the property in Ecuador. They have been clearing the land, first by hand and now with heavy equipment, which has cleared all the large trees and dug out the poor soil in the area where the runway will be. Next, they will bring in gravel and sand to build it back up and level it; then they will add good dirt on top so that we can plant grass. The church building and the house for the church’s pastor are both well under way.
Our current needs are:
• To finish paying for the engine kit for the airplane. Answered!
• To find a new hangar space for the airplane. Answered!
• To raise the money for and purchase the avionics.
• To raise the money for the STOL modifications. Answered!
• To finish the repair work.
• For safety for the people working on the new property in Ecuador.

Me gustaría darle las gracias por orar por la situación del hangar. Dios nos ha bendecido con un lugar para guardar el avión. Como es su forma habitual de hacer las cosas, proporcionó más de lo que pedimos. ¡El pastor de una de nuestras iglesias que nos apoyan en Waco, Texas, me llamó y me dijo que había encontrado un hangar, que estaba disponible para nuestro uso que pertenece a un ministerio llamado Wings for Christ! ¡Alabado sea el Señor! Le pidió a un grupo de hombres de su iglesia que nos ayudaran a mover el avión. Con su ayuda, cargamos todo en dos remolques y lo trasladamos a Waco. Esta nueva ubicación está a solo una hora de donde nos hemos estamos quedando, por lo que también es genial. ¡Dios es muy bueno!
Inmediatamente después de mover el avión, necesitábamos salir a carretera para asistir a una conferencia. Tuvimos la oportunidad de presentar nuestro ministerio en nuevas iglesias en Texas, Alabama y Florida. Disfrutamos de la conferencia en Florida, que fue nuestra primera conferencia llamada Round Robin. Cinco iglesias albergaron cada una a una familia misionera. Cada familia misionera pudo pasar un día con cada una de las iglesias. Después de la conferencia, pudimos asistir un día a la exposición aeroespacial anual Sun ‘n Fun. Necesitaba algunas piezas para el trabajo del avión, y pude conseguir bastantes cosas a muy buenos precios.
Después de regresar a Texas, comenzamos a organizar el espacio del hangar. Después de una semana de viajar al hangar, Wings for Christ nos preguntó si nos gustaría quedarnos en una de sus oficinas, esta oficina en una linda casa móvil. ¡Por supuesto que aceptamos! Ahora tenemos un lugar para el avión junto con un lugar en donde quedarnos en la misma propiedad. Ahora trabajar en el avión será mucho más fácil. ¡Me encanta ver a Dios obrar!
Varias personas han venido a ayudar regularmente con el trabajo. AJ ha trabajado casi todos los días en la eliminación de pintura. Jak ha también ha ayudado despintando y con el lijado. Isaac acaba de obtener su licencia de A&P y ha venido varias veces para ayudar. Él planea venir a ayudar cuando termine su trabajo de verano.
Irene fue invitada por una de nuestras iglesias en Texas a asistir a un retiro de damas en un campamento bíblico en Southland Louisiana. Fue una bendición el compartir un tiempo con ellas, gracias al pastor y a su esposa Ledbetter por la invitación.
¡Pudimos pagar por completo el kit de actualización del motor del avión! Estábamos emocionados de viajar a KS para recogerlo. Ahora está en el hangar esperando que terminen el resto del trabajo para poder instalarlo. También pudimos ordenar y pagar las modificaciones STOL y las ventanas nuevas. Ahora estoy trabajando casi todos los días en el avión para que podamos terminar todo el trabajo. Todavía necesitamos recaudar fondos para los instrumentos y algunas otras cosas más pequeñas, ¡pero Dios ha estado proveyendo lo que necesitamos!
El trabajo de la pista está muy avanzado en la propiedad en Ecuador. Han estado limpiando el terreno, primero a mano, y ahora con equipo pesado que ha limpiado todos los árboles grandes y excavado el suelo donde estará la pista. Luego, traerán grava y arena para reconstruirlo y nivelarlo, después agregarán buena tierra encima para que podamos plantar césped. El edificio de la iglesia y la casa para el pastor de la iglesia están en marcha.
