We welcomed in the New Year with our Back-to-School Friend Day, where we had around 100 kids and some of their parents. We preached the Gospel message to all of them; and, praise the Lord, many of those souls made decisions for Jesus Christ! At the end of the service, every child present received a new backpack with school supplies and a new pair of school shoes and socks! Once again, we want to thank everyone who gave sacrificially to make this day happen. Because of your giving, we were blessed to see many souls come to Christ. Since this special service, we have seen several children become part of our church family, and we have seen a growth in our teenagers! Thank you again!
Our family was also blessed to have my mother and father join us for two weeks! This was my mom’s third time coming to see us, but it was my dad’s first time. We had a lot of fun showing them around Nairobi. While they were here, my mom became our official bus captain, driving our car to pick up and drop off church members.
God also blessed us with an official place to call Lighthouse Baptist Church of Acacia! We have moved from the front yard of our home to a storefront building right off the main road. The location is great, and we are praying to see many new visitors through this move. With the move, it puts the church 2½ miles away from our home and where we were meeting. Now, that does not sound far, but for most Kenyans who walk and don’t own a car, it is quite far. One of the kids we know walks over 5 miles just to get to church. With this, we have started a bus route using our personal car, which holds only 5 people. On average, I have been making 3 trips after church, with about 12 people in my car, to get everyone home safely. We did send out a video this month on the need for a church van and how much support we would need. We want to praise the Lord that within 48 hours, all of the support for the van came through from our supporting churches! We cannot say thank you enough. We will keep everyone updated as we purchase the van that God has for LBC of Acacia!
Discipleship with Lewis and Fredrick once a week is going great, and it has been amazing to see the growth in both of these men! PPTA with our team and the national pastors this month went well as well, as we are still averaging around 12 national pastors in our classes.
Prayer Requests
• Please pray for Ali and her health; pray that the new medications she is on will heal her thyroid and help her get her strength back.
• Pray for the Medical Clinics coming up March 15-25. It is hard to believe that it is almost time! We are praying that through this wonderful ministry with “Truth for Today Medical Missions,” we will be able to see many souls come to Christ and a new church planted in Western Kenya!
As always, thank you all for your faithfulness in supporting the Lord’s work here in Kenya, East Africa. God bless you.
Your co-laborers for lost souls across East Africa,
Brandon & Ali
