Our hearts are so full! It’s absolutely incredible to finally be in Thailand. We have prayed for this country for years, and now that we get to be a part of the work here—it’s almost too good to be true!

The Lord has already given us so many opportunities to serve in the ministry here. On day three of being in Thailand, I had the privilege of leading El, a young teenage girl, to the Lord! It was such a special occasion, marking the first soul saved since our arrival to Thailand as missionaries. Since then, we have had the privilege of seeing numbers of others saved. New is a mechanic at a moped garage in town. His family immigrated to Thailand when he was a boy, and he speaks perfect Thai. He stopped what he was working on to hear the Gospel and sweetly accepted Christ. While my wife and I were handing out Gospel tracts at a local market, we met Ying and her daughters. She said that she had been invited to another church before but had never been told how she could know for sure she was going to Heaven. We shared the plan of salvation with her, and she willingly accepted Christ. Pick is the adult son of one of our church’s most faithful widow ladies. He has been to church in the past, but when I asked about his testimony, he was unsure of whether or not he was saved. I showed him what God’s Word says about eternity, and right there he got his salvation settled. These are just a few of the souls the Lord has allowed us to see saved so far.

On the two-week anniversary of our being in Thailand, I preached the Gospel at a funeral for one of the ladies in our church. It was my first time preaching in Thai since we had arrived. Despite my lack of confidence, God worked in a mighty way, and nine people accepted Christ as their Saviour!

We have been praying, as have many of you, that the Lord would give us a house. The Painter family, missionaries in the next city over, have so kindly allowed us to live in their home until we could find something more permanent. Well, we have a prayer-answering God! Just the other day, we signed a rental contract on a beautiful two-story home in a very quiet and secure village. We had a list of twenty things that we were praying for in a house, and this house checked sixteen of the twenty! We plan to move in the next couple of weeks.
