Matt and Katie Belle Bosje Prayer Letter: Incredible and Sobering Experience

Matt and Katie Belle Bosje Prayer Letter: Incredible and Sobering ExperienceGod is so good! It is humbling to think that He allows any of us to serve Him. Deputation, especially, has been an incredible and sobering experience for us. So many churches and individuals across the country have done special things for our family. We feel extremely blessed and undeserving. It is a great motivation to give our all in the work of the Lord!

We have spent the last few months primarily in the Midwest region of the country, visiting churches in the states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. We also took trips to New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Several of those churches took us on for support, and we have reached 81% of our support goal!

I had the privilege to go soul winning with Austin Maddox, one of the young men from Bailey’s Grove Baptist Church, and we were able to lead a young mother to Christ. Austin was one of my students in school and a bus worker on my route years ago. Now, he is a junior in Bible college and captains his own bus route. It’s such a blessing to watch young people grow up and serve God with their lives!

In August, the Lord gave me another special opportunity. We were in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, with Pastor Ken Jordan. During the Sunday morning service, Sander, a young Native American man from the Ho-Chunk Nation, came forward. He told me that much of his family still believed in the traditional Native American spirituality, but that a friend of his had recently ended his own life and left Sander thinking about eternity. I walked him through the Scriptures, and he sweetly accepted Christ as his Saviour.

Moving forward, we will begin including something new in each of our prayer letters. We are going to call it “Mikey’s Moment.” This will be a short update on something interesting or exciting that happened in our son Mikey’s life since the previous letter. We hope you will enjoy reading these and that they will give you just a small taste of the joy that Mikey brings to our lives!

We have started the process of getting a work permit. This can often take some time, so we ask that you would pray we can get it quickly. Please also pray that God would give us souls saved as we continue to travel on deputation.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support! We love each of you and pray for our supporters regularly. May God bless you abundantly!

Mikey’s Moment

On August 18, we celebrated Mikey’s first birthday! It’s crazy how fast this little guy is growing up. He’s walking now and keeps Mom and Dad on their toes! Thank you to those of you who sent him birthday cards!
