Zach and Cassandra Foust Jr. Prayer Letter: God Blessed Our Six-Week Attendance Program!Thank you so much for your prayers for us! The last several weeks have been full of blessings. In June, we returned to the States briefly for my brother Caleb’s wedding, as well as for a doctor’s appointment and to get immigration paperwork. We praise the Lord that everything went well. My doctor’s appointment was positive; however, they will continue to monitor some of the symptoms I still have since the surgery. Lord willing, I will not have to see the doctor again for several months. We were able to receive the immigration paperwork we needed, with much thanks for the help of Miss Jennifer-Ruth Green. She was a huge blessing!

We returned to a full schedule in Peru. Shortly after arriving, we flew with Team Peru to Chiclayo, Peru, where we helped host a Pastors’ Training Conference with Pastor Armando Anaya, a missionary from Mexico. Cassandra headed up the ladies’ classes and the music, and I was grateful to have a part in teaching and preaching. Thirteen different pastors came, as well as many people from the local church.

Back in Lima, our church had its 6-week attendance program, starting with Father’s Day. Each week had a different theme, i.e., Goldfish Sunday, and we had a big push on the 5 “bus” routes our church runs. We averaged 187 in attendance over the 6 weeks and had a high day on the final Sunday of 220. We also had 79 first-time visitors over the 6 weeks. Our folks saw 376 people make a profession of faith in Christ. God really blessed, and we look forward to what He’ll do next.

There is a family in our church who had a family member pass away. She was in her late fifties and had many health issues. This lady had attended our church several times and had a clear testimony of salvation. I was able to preach at a special service they held for her in her house on the mountainside in front of our church. Several people in attendance raised their hand for salvation.

We finished a successful semester of Bible institute on July 14, where I taught two classes and Cassandra taught as well. It’s exciting to see so many preparing to serve the Lord. Cassandra’s classes at the Christian school are going well, and they are currently on winter break for two weeks (winter is in July here).

Please continue to pray for us! We would ask that you pray for wisdom from the Lord! Our church is growing and needs a bigger space! Please pray for Sunday, August 10, where we will have Baptism Sunday at our church. There are many new converts we pray will follow the Lord in believer’s baptism. The following Sunday, August 17, will be a big day on the routes for Children’s Day. They celebrate that here in Peru, and we’re praying for many families to come.

We are grateful for you all and look forward to updating again soon!

God bless you all,

Zach and Cassandra Foust
