Paul and Jolie Sock Prayer Letter: Showers of Blessing! There was a lot of flooding in southern Poland, which also led into certain cities and caused much flooding there. We still don’t know how many people have lost their lives, but much damage has been done to people’s properties. When we first came to Poland over 20 years ago, we were told that the reason they build their houses out of concrete and not wood like American houses is because they are prepared for disasters to happen at any moment. Please pray that we can be a light at this time, even though there are many other heavy issues going on right now

Two brothers in our church are having to leave Poland. One is hoping to have his family join him and will be gone for a month. Another brother got a negative decision on his visa, and he is having to leave for several months. Please pray that he and his wife could mend things in their relationship.

We had one new man come to church. He was born in Italy to Polish parents, and he has moved to Poland; he is serving in the Polish military. He received a tract and has been coming to our church. He just made a profession of faith and got baptized just a couple of weeks ago.

Jolie’s health is still improving with her routine of exercising. As I write, we have been dealing with a lot of sickness. A lady at the store told me that many right now are dealing with sickness. Even in our church, many are getting sick. Just three days ago, Jolie was feeling very dizzy and had another seizure attack. She fell off her bed after returning from the bathroom. She hit her head and bruised her face. Thank God, she did not break anything. She is improving slowly. We appreciate your prayers.

I have received two phone calls from two people who visited our church over a year ago, and they are interested in coming. One man, who has been gone for a year, has just come back for a couple of times. Now we started a new meeting, and several brothers are helping me to teach. Please pray that this would have a great effect on many people. The Lord has brought so many new young Polish men to our church. We would love to teach them and train them and help them to have more churches started in Poland.

We had one baptism lined up at the nearby lake in a park across the street from our church. As a result, another two joined them and were baptized.

We had a great picnic at our house at the end of August, with much good participation, and people were really encouraged.

More than conquerors,

Paul & Jolie Sock
