A Whirlwind!
Hello everyone. Sorry for the lateness of this letter. There was a little confusion since many things have happened. At the end of May, I needed to go back to the USA for a month to help my 87-year-old mother, who fell backwards, cracked her skull, and had a bleeding stroke. Thankfully, she has since recovered and is doing well. I stayed most of the time in a missionary apartment supplied by the kind people of Liberty Baptist Church in Prescott, Arizona. Five precious souls were saved in Arizona. Since the beginning of the year, we have had 56 salvation decisions, and 69 first-time visitors in church. Three folks were sweetly baptised recently. Amen. God is good!
Please remember to pray for these visitors, as we have a large selection of nationalities in our area. Some have sincerely fled persecution and welcome the freedom to learn more about Christ. I witnessed to a man this week who had questioned his religion and bought a Bible in his home country, only to be put in prison for three months! He was happy to have an open discussion and is seeking Truth. May he find it in Christ!
Vacation Bible School
Our church pulled together a tremendous Holiday Bible Club! Over 20 children attended each day, and we were happy to see 6 decisions for Christ throughout the 5 days. We had a young American missions graduate, Brandon Williams, come to visit with us for a few weeks. He was kept very busy shadowing me in the ministry and touring around. Mary Beth enjoyed the chance to cook for our company.
Family Rejoicing!
What a wonderful blessing it was to attend the wedding of Jeremy and Ashley Solt in Woburn, Massachusetts. The family time with everyone was very important to us, as well as reuniting with some of Mary Beth’s family and long-time friends. Much appreciation goes to the entire church family of Anchor Baptist Church for their hard work in making the wedding day so special.
Thank you to all who pray and give toward the efforts here to reach and teach people in northwest England. Special prayer requests are as follows: (1) for a church family whose two-year-old son had a stroke and is in therapy, (2) for wisdom and health for Daniel’s family as they complete deputation, and (3) for a man from our church family who has started a year program of Reformers Unanimous.
Yours for souls,
The Solt Family
