“. . . The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Matthew 5:37-38) Now that school is out for the year, we are focusing on preparations for our annual Youth Conference, which takes place the second week of December. This year, Pastor Danny Ortiz and Pastor Luis Martinez will be our guest speakers. Please pray that our young people would surrender to God’s will for their lives and that He would call many to full-time Christian service. We are also working with our Christian school students who need to raise money for their tuition next year. We are traveling to nearby towns selling plastic products, banana bread, and cupcakes house to house and in the markets. Not only are we occupied in these activities, but we also are preparing for our first Christmas Cantata. We are praying that many visitors would come and receive Christ as their Saviour. As you can see, November and December are the busiest months of the year for our ministries.
Because of a lack of Sunday school teachers to better serve our growing Sunday School department, we have not been able to have high-attendance days. However, the Lord recently answered our prayers and provided several new Sunday school teachers. We now have 12 Sunday school classes, which allows us to have big days once again, one of which was a marbles and jacks competition for the children after church. We had an attendance of 188, with 5 saved. We just celebrated our 16th anniversary as a church as well, also with 188 in attendance; 25 of those were first-time visitors. Please pray with us, as our goal next year is to have an average Sunday school attendance of 200.
Our growth has also been hindered in part because of a lack of space; however, we are very excited to announce that the steel structure for our auditorium and educational building is almost finished. We are very grateful to all of you who have invested in this project. Once we finish this project, we will have the space we need to grow our Sunday school to 500, educate the next generation to be God-fearing, Christ-honoring Christians in our Christian school, and prepare those who are called to full-time Christian service for the ministry through our Bible institute. Please pray that the Lord would continue to provide the funds needed to finish this project. Our goal is to dedicate the auditorium in December 2023 during our annual Youth Conference.
