Spotlight on Team Ghana’s Church Plants – March 2014
Good Report from Pastor Pentsil: “My family is doing very well. Emmanuel and Emmanuella are now in the senior high school. I met three teenagers this past week—Francis, Emmanuel, and Samuel—in front of their house. I witnessed to these three boys, and they made a profession of faith in Jesus. They were very teachable. Bro. Owusu, a faithful member, is growing in the Lord. He now goes soul winning with me each Saturday. He said he wants to learn more about soul winning so that he will be able to witness to people everywhere he goes.”
A Growing Work in Grand Bassa County: “A year ago my wife and I came to Grand Bassa County to start a church. We started by going out soul winning three days each week. Then finally we started meeting at our house for a Bible study. We had about 8 people on the first day. We are now averaging 51 in attendance, but we are still meeting at a house. God being so good, we have been able start new Bible studies in two villages near where we live. My wife and I are working very hard to spread the Gospel all around Grand Bassa County. Our prayer request is that God will help us to have a building that we can meet in.”
Our Number Increased in 2013: “By the grace of God, our number increased in 2013. We had a very effective soul-winning program. Not only that, most of what I preached about in 2013 was winning souls for Christ. That really helped increased the number. This year I have a plan to build the church at Bekwai. I have also set the goal of organizing many soul- winning activities to be able to reach the people of Bekwai. The people there are very friendly and teachable. We are praying that God will help us to start work on a church building in Bekwai.”
Richmond Happy About Eternal Security: “Last month I went to preach to a school near where I stay. There about 60 students made professions of faith in Christ. Some of the students have started showing up at our Bible study. I met Kwadwo and Richmond on my way to soul winning. I shared the Gospel with them, and Kwadwo made a profession of faith in Christ. However, Richmond had a problem with eternal security. I took the time to show him many verses from the Bible about eternal security. Richmond gladly received the message. Praise the Lord! My prayer is that God will give me and my family the strength to do more for Him.”
