Zach and Cassandra Foust Jr. Prayer Letter: Back in Peru!Thank you so much for your continued prayers for my health. Things have improved quite a bit since our last letter. I am not at 100%, but I am grateful to be doing much better. We were able to make it back to Peru on January 9. I am now able to resume most of my regular activities with caution; however, headaches and other symptoms are monitored. I will briefly return to the States in a couple of weeks for more doctors’ appointments, where they will run tests to see how the treatments have helped and see exactly where I’m at.

As soon as we arrived back in Peru, our church had Vacation Bible School! It’s summer here in Peru, so every January, we have VBS. We had been working with our church remotely through Zoom video meetings to prepare for VBS. Things went great, with a lot of new kids in attendance! One of our boys who recently got saved is now planning to get baptized next week.

On January 26, we had our church’s anniversary service! It’s common to celebrate those big here in Peru, and we had a big day. We rented a tent and had our services outside. We had lunch and cake for everyone. Bro. David Rogers from Rogers City, Michigan, was our guest speaker. We had just under 200 in attendance and about 30 visitors, and 8 adults made a profession of faith on that day. One of those visitors was a lady named Theresa, whom I had invited on the street the week before. I was able to give her the Gospel, but as of yet, I don’t believe she has gotten saved. Please pray for her to come to Christ!

The next day, we took 13 of our teenagers to camp for the week! It was an exciting camp, which we cohosted with the rest of Team Peru, along with my parents’ church. Well over 100 teens registered from different churches in the Lima area. Bro. Ricky Torres was the guest speaker, and he did a great job. Cassandra and I were both able to teach throughout the week. Many of our teens made decisions, and one of them got assurance of his salvation and was baptized. This young man is named Rodrigo. He was invited by his cousin Fabian, who got saved just about six months ago. Fabian came to church from a Gospel tract he found under his front door. We were able to witness to him at church, and he made a profession of faith that day. I was able to baptize him the following week. He has now started discipleship and brought his cousin Rodrigo to church. It’s amazing to see how God works! Please continue to pray for these young men.

Please pray as well for our bus routes! We are running 5 “bus” routes from our church each Sunday morning. We don’t own any buses but currently rent vans, and Cassandra’s route walks to church! One of these routes had a high day of 45 some weeks ago. We are praying for the Lord to do big things with this ministry.

Thank you again for your prayers for us! God has been so good. We can’t wait to share more soon of what the Lord is doing.

God bless you all!
