Divine Appointments
The last of September, we had the privilege of attending the Servants’ Retreat at Mackinac Island, Michigan. Our pastor, Dr. John Wilkerson, was the guest speaker, and his lovely wife Linda spoke to the ladies. Not only was it a wonderful time, but we had the privilege of seeing three precious souls saved when we shared the Gospel with them. Two of them, Amoy and Maya, were from Jamaica, and both of them have family in Jamaica. They gave us their family information to give to Missionary Oral Anderson, who said he would go to their family members and witness to them.
Our truck needed new tires, so I had a tire shop put them on for me. Afterward, I went to get a quick lunch, and there was an elderly man sitting there eating alone. He struck up a conversation with me, and I went and sat by him. I shared the good news of the Gospel with him, and 91-year-old Mr. Chaney bowed his head and trusted Christ as his personal Saviour. God is so good!
Bus Mechanics’ Prayer Portal
We have started a conference call for church bus mechanics (anybody who works on church buses). It starts at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time and goes 30 to 45 minutes. There is fellowship, training, a short devotion, prayer, and praise time. Each one prays, or if they are unable to pray at the time, they just listen. It has been an encouraging and uplifting time. If you would be interested in joining the prayer time, call me at 219-689-0011 for the prayer-portal phone number.
Churches Helping Churches
Crossroads Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, had a bus to give away to a church that needed a bus. I inspected it and repaired it. Lighthouse Baptist Church in Marion, Indiana, was in need of a bus, so when we called them and told them it was ready, they came and picked it up. They got it home and licensed, and it is running well.
Art Froley, one of the mechanics at Riverland Baptist Church in Dunnellon, Florida, was able to help Trinity Baptist Church in Wildwood, Florida, to get their bus up and running again. God is using church bus mechanics to help other churches in their areas.
In September and October, we helped 15 churches, working on 32 buses, and we were able to see 14 trust Christ as their personal Saviour. Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support. Your partnering with us makes it all possible. Thank you for having a Bus Ministry. We are grateful for your hearts for the bus families. “. . . Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:14) You are in our prayers.
Yours for souls,
Warren & Jary Lynn Storm
