God is so good! We just completed a very busy three months. We need everybody to make a note that our mailing address has changed officially. . . again. Praise the Lord! We have moved three times now. We are at 43 Downing Square, Pakenham, VIC 3810 Australia. Hopefully, we will not be moving again for quite a while. The house we were renting was put up for sale as a development property—sad for us.
We have seen some victories and had some setbacks. We were able to see an Islander young man named “T” saved and baptized, and a young man named Caleb, who has been coming to the church for quite a while, turned 18 years old and asked to be baptized and join the church. I was blessed to be able to baptize Caleb. Since then he has been very faithful in coming to church, even for the midweek service. I love seeing Aussies grow spiritually. Also, we are about to finish canvassing the town of Pakenham, a town of over 35,000 people. Each house has received a Gospel tract, and we will follow up with knocking the doors. We have already had several people contact us for a follow-up visit from the tracts.
We are halfway through another session of Bible institute, where I am blessed to be able to teach on Bible doctrines and Christian character. We have also been blessed to be in contact with 11 Iranians this year. We are hoping to continue an outreach to Iranian asylum seekers. Please pray for Bobek, Hamid, Jobbe, Ebrehem, Reza, Ali Raza, Sam, Najme, Milad, Hamad, and Pharez. We are hoping that the Lord continues to let us work with them. Unfortunately, everyone but Sam and Najme lives on the north side of the city, over 150 km (93.2 miles) round trip.
A big setback was from the local naval base. After our initial contact, all looked good, but now they don’t want anyone ministering to the military men and women except uniformed chaplains. We are praying that the Lord will open a door with a reserve unit in the area. I am still actively pursuing this ministry. Please pray that the Lord would work on hearts and open doors.
Please continue to pray for Brother Abrell’s recovery, more souls to be saved, more converts to follow in believer’s baptism, and God to use us to help build strong families and Christians. We need the Holy Spirit’s leadership and protection on our family here in Australia.
Sincerely,
Ron Back
