“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
PRAISE
As a Bible-believing Baptist church, we desire to obey and honor our Lord by observing all the things He has commanded us. We continue to preach the Gospel of Christ to the residents of El Café and communicate to them that Jesus is the only way to God the Father. On Sunday evening, November 19, 4 new converts, in obedience to Jesus’ commandment, gladly followed our Lord in believer’s baptism. On Sunday morning, December 31, we had the honor and privilege to observe the Lord’s Supper. There is no better way to finish 2017 than to remember the great sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ demonstrated to all the world!
We had a special blessing to spend Thanksgiving Day in Bani, Dominican Republic, with the Biz Lerisse family and Pastor Warren Johnson and a group of men and ladies from Grace Baptist Church of Flower Mound, Texas. There was great food, Christian fellowship, and football, as we happily watched my Minnesota Vikings defeat the Detroit Lions. Thank you, Pastor Johnson and people, for the very generous love offering given to us. Thank you, Brother Biz, Mrs. Lerisse, and family, for your friendship and for being such gracious hosts.
PRAYER
Pray for the children, young teens, and three adult ladies who join our family for soul winning, as we are training them to reach others for Christ. A three-month Faithfulness Campaign began this month to encourage us all to be faithful to Jesus. Please pray that this precious character trait will strengthen our members and regulars in their faith. We also need your prayers for our personal safety, especially on the roads and with our health.
GRATITUDE
We want to thank each church and Women’s Missionary Circle that graciously gave us special Christmas offerings. Thank you so much for your love and generosity, especially at the Christmas season. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to each one of our financial and prayer supporters for your faithfulness to our family and ministry in 2017. We look forward to continuing to serve with you in 2018 and beyond to obey the Great Commission to win souls, baptize them, and teach believers all that Jesus has commanded us.
For souls,
Roberto Tirado
