Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! “We give thanks to God always for you all . . . .” (I Thessalonians 1:2) Thank you all for continuing with us in the work of faith and labour of love that God has called us to here in London, Ontario, Canada! Many years ago, we claimed I Thessalonians 5:24, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” All these years later, God has continually demonstrated His faithfulness to His call on our lives, and one of those ways is through your steadfast prayers and support! May we say a BIG thank you!
These past months since our last newsletter have been busy and blessed months! They included our annual Soul-Winning Conference in July, our annual Ladies’ Fall Jubilee Meeting in September, as well as our 28th Anniversary Sunday on the first Sunday of October! Last Sunday (Thanksgiving Sunday), concluded a six-week “Super Fall Campaign,” which included Super Seniors Sunday (Grandparents Sunday), Super Soaker Sunday (Children’s Sunday, where the children all received a water- soaker stick and got to soak the pastor down at the end of the service), Super Sweetheart Sunday (Couples Sunday, with teaching on Marriage and the Home), Super Singing Sunday (with special music in the service, preaching on Christ-honouring music, and an evening Family Singspiration service), Super Anniversary Sunday (a wonderful day of rejoicing and victories), and concluding with Super Thankful Sunday on our Thanksgiving Sunday! God blessed these days with souls saved, believers baptized, and believers in the church unified and edified in the work of the Lord!
May I recruit you to join us in prayer about a few things as you receive this update and prayer letter? Please pray for a lady named Gelli in our church, who just contacted us to tell us that she has to have an early induction of her baby, as the baby has a fetal growth-restriction issue. She was due in November but will be induced tomorrow night, Wednesday, October 15. Please pray for a safe delivery for Mom and Baby, as well as minimal or no complications for Baby!! Pray for Dad too; his name is MJ! Please also pray for me, as I will be preaching in a fellow pastor/missionary’s church and in their Family Conference this upcoming Saturday, October 18. Please pray for the wife of one of our faithful men to be saved! Her name is Jeanette DeWit, and her husband, Bro. David, has been praying long and hard for his wife and family to be saved! A couple of years ago, David’s adult son Edward got saved! Edward is now both studying and working in the UK, and David shared with me this past Sunday that his son Edward was talking to his mom (David’s wife) over the phone about Jesus and salvation! Please pray with us for Jeanette’s salvation! Also pray for my wife and her family, as just this past Sunday morning, Tanya’s grandmother and last living grandparent passed away! Praise God for Heaven for those who are saved! Lastly, please join us in prayer for our upcoming annual Youth Conference November 21-22, which is now just under six weeks away.
