I pray this letter finds you well. The work continues here in Honduras; people continue to get saved and baptized. This month we were able to baptize 6 more of our converts.
I had an interesting experience last month. One Saturday, I was walking around gathering kids for our Bible Club. As I walked around, I stepped on a nail. Since I wasn’t sure about my last tetanus shot, the following Monday I went to a clinic to get one. As my wife and I waited, my wife gave a tract to a girl sitting next to her and invited her to church. That Sunday, Cenia and her daughter came to church, and they have continued to do so for about a month now. Cenia is also coming to our midweek services and has brought her boyfriend and other visitors to church. Pray that Cenia will get saved and follow the Lord with her life. We have witnessed to her, but she says that she is not “ready” to get saved yet. Thank God for that nail in my foot! Praise God! “All things work together for good to them that love God.”
We have started construction on our building. We have put up the ironwork and should have the foundation ready by the end of the week. After 11 years of looking for property and then 5 years of paying for the property, we are grateful to God for allowing us to get to this point.
In Honduras, the week before Easter is considered “Holy Week.” Since the teenagers have that week off, we sent our teens to Bible Camp. It was wonderful to see God work in their hearts and see them get excited about the things of God.
In September and October 2018, we will be taking a furlough. If you would like us to come and report to your church, please contact us. My email address is osmingutierrez@fbmi.org.
Thank you for your prayer and financial support. May God bless you and continue to use you.
Truly,
Osmin Gutierrez
