Mshama and Martha Kinyonga Prayer Letter: Martha's Health JourneyWe pray that you all are well. We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The Christmas season is here, with Christmas just a week or so away, and we are grateful that God has allowed us to finish another year. This prayer letter will be about Martha’s health journey, and we thank you in advance for taking the time to read it.

To get everyone caught up, Martha’s last CT scan showed that the cancer is back in the colon, where she had her colorectal surgery last year, as well as in the lungs, stomach lining, ovaries, and uterus. To say we were surprised is a true understatement. We know that God is good and there are lessons to be learned. Her oncologist team basically wants to put the port back in and do chemo again. In fact, they want to do the same chemo that she had before. That chemo didn’t work and only changed the shape of the tumor, and it also caused blood clots, along with neuropathy.

There is a clinic called Envita Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, which specializes in out-of-the-box cancer treatment, along with making the treatment personal to each individual by targeting the cells with natural ways that are plant-based. Their record for getting their patients cancer-free is remarkable. We looked into it, and Martha was accepted into the program. This was a huge answer to prayer because they cannot help all cancers. Because they don’t typically do what is “required/expected,” no insurance company will cover their services.

We have some preparatory blood work that needs to be done beforehand so we can start right away when we get there. That blood work is extensive and is also not covered by insurances. That total is $8,470.

We have already been assigned January 14, 2026, as the start date for treatment. The treatment plan is 4 months long, 5 days a week, 2-4 hours a day, and our projected bill is $300,000. They do not have housing available on site, so we would have to find something. I am grateful for my mother-in-law, who can stay with the kids so I can be with Martha during treatment. We obviously do not have that kind of money; however, we know God does. We are asking for your help. We are not demanding; we are simply asking if you would be willing. I know our family would be indebted to you.
