Thank you for your faithful prayers and support! We arrived safely and without incident in the U.S. We have been able to see many family members and some supporters, as well as those having us in for the first time.
My oldest sister, wife, children, and I went out soul winning on a Saturday, and we went to one of the Chinese “fishing holes” that I know about. A couple of Chinese men came to the door and seemed so ready to talk. My sister was able to lead them to the Lord on their couch. Gotta love it!
In my parents’ town, I was able to go out with my dad and oldest child. It was my door; and, praise the Lord, Mike prayed with me after we talked to him about his need of Jesus as his personal Saviour. Three generations of soul winners!
I invited a lady named Brenda to church. She came to church, and my mom was able to lead her to the Lord. Please pray that these and others would continue to grow.
Many have asked and are praying regarding our visa situation. Thank you very much, and keep it up! As many of you know, the university had told me that they would only give me, but not my family, a visa to return to China. We have been working on this situation and have what we believe are some possible options. However, as is often the case, it is sometimes a waiting game. Some more requested paperwork was submitted this week, and as of this writing, we are waiting until the next step. We could receive word that the paperwork is on its way, there is something else to do, or that this option is closed. Please pray for a different option involving a scheduled meeting currently set for Thursday, October 24, at 9:00 p.m. EST and that God’s will would be done and wisdom given.
My family misses home, but we are trying to take advantage of our time in the States as well. Apparently, the Lord thought we needed longer than the five-week furlough we had planned. Please pray that the Lord would give us wisdom, favor, and open the doors according to HIS will. He knows best! He loves the people of China even more than we do, and we know that He loves us too.
Thank you for all the encouraging words, emails, prayer, and gifts. You all are the best. We couldn’t do what we get to do without folks like you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any questions, etc.
Gladly in His service,
Missionary 6011 and Family
