Things have been full-on since our feet hit the ground in Thailand 69 days ago. This month was packed with all sorts of tasks. Some of these included making repairs to our new house, furniture shopping, helping another family move, making a last-minute border run, and more. Despite the craziness, God has given us so many wonderful blessings over the last several weeks.
May 4 was Katie Belle’s birthday. To celebrate this special occasion, we took a Thai cooking class, where we each learned how to prepare several authentic Thai dishes. They were delicious, if I do say so myself!
I have been spending a lot of time visiting the church members of International Baptist Church. It is humbling to see how so many of these dear people live. One of the couples that comes faithfully cares for a blind man who has Parkinson’s disease. When I went by to visit them, he was laying on a small daybed in front of his tiny house. They have ropes hanging from the ceiling to help him get in and out of bed. I was reminded how great some of our people’s needs are—both spiritual and physical.
Last week while out soul winning, I met Max. He did not live in Hua Hin but happened to be in town visiting family for a few days. I shared the plan of salvation with him, and he accepted Christ. Praise God for putting people where they need to be when they need to be there!
Bro. Chad Inman and I met with a couple of our young men who have surrendered to preach. We spent some time teaching them how to prepare a sermon outline. Over the next couple of weeks, they will take turns preaching to some of the other teens who come to a soccer event we have each week. It’s exciting to watch these young men take steps toward fulfilling God’s purpose for their lives
Thank you to each of you for your faithful love and prayers!
