Vacation Bible School
God blessed the VBS at Crossroads Baptist Church in Indiana. I was able to teach the Bible lesson each evening, and we saw a few decisions made, as well as 2 parents accept Christ! Our kids enjoyed the fun time, and recently they have even been “playing VBS” and singing the songs from it.
Iowa
It was quite the trip heading to Iowa from East Tennessee. Eastern Hills Baptist Church was a sweet place to be for the Fourth of July. We arrived as the fireworks were going off! They had 2 buses that needed some work. I was able to get them going, and we saw 51 kids on the bus on Sunday morning! Lauretta sang, and I taught Sunday school and led the children’s church. Lauretta spoke to 7 precious girls, who all prayed for salvation, and 3 others made a profession as well!
The Value of One
After we returned home from Iowa, I went to work to organize my tools and one of my coworkers was there. I proceeded to tell him about our trip and the Lord opened his heart to the Gospel. He gladly accepted the Lord as his Saviour.
Ohio Missions Conference
Southwest Baptist Church invited us to be a part of their Missions Conference, and they have already taken us on for support! We were abundantly blessed by their heart for the Lord’s work and their great care in providing for us. We enjoyed all the fellowship with new missionary friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. One of the days we went to see where Charles Finney preached and the monument of some faithful missionaries. While walking in the park there, I met two young men who were skateboarding. God used my ability to skateboard to open up a conversation about salvation with them. Both young men accepted Christ right there in the park. Two children and one adult also got saved during the week! God is good!
