“The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.” (Psalm 90:10)
After turning 70 in December, life has not been without its surprises. Theresa and I had reservations to return to Haiti on February 4, but on the evening of January 21, I drove myself to the ER experiencing an irregular heartbeat and high blood pressure. After various tests, matters appear to be under control with medication.
We were on schedule to leave Ft. Pierce, Florida, on February 18 for our ministry, but on the 16th, I was back in the ER experiencing a different pain. Multiple kidney stones have delayed our return to Haiti.
Through these episodes, God has been very good. Most of Haiti’s medical facilities are primitive and questionable. I feel very blessed to enjoy the advances in medical science that God has allowed America to make. To be Stateside with these occurrences is better than the alternative.
Matters in Haiti are still very much broken, but there’s no report of any of our churches ceasing their operations. The U.S. Embassy has issued a “Level 4 – Do Not Fly to Haiti Warning” due to crime, civil unrest, and kidnapping.”
Thank you for standing by us through this little crisis.
Respectfully,
Keith & Theresa
