Thank you for your faithful prayers and support! It has been the coldest months of our winter here in Sao Paulo, Brazil, yet God blessed the Harvest Family Fun activity in July and the Brazilian Father’s Day Barbecue in August.
We thank the Lord for many visitors in most of our services on a weekly basis. We met Leia and her family while sharing the Gospel in their neighborhood. They started coming regularly and making a point of bringing visitors to every service.
If you would, please pray for the funds ($2,500) to keep our vehicles for the family and ministry running safely here! For the past six months, we have had vehicles in for repairs.
When our mission board director and his wife came to visit us in Cotia a few months ago, we showed the progress and projects we are working on in the church. I am working on electrical, plumbing, welding, and construction in the two churches to keep costs at a minimum, yet the need for repair on the roof alone will still cost at least $3,000.
God has opened doors for us to visit in an area with many Spanish-speaking people about 25 minutes from our church in Cotia. I had the privilege of leading 25 people to the Lord after several weeks of visiting this area. Esther won a young lady to the Lord in Spanish who was so amazed that Esther spoke her language and continued to visit her and the community every week. Our sons were enthusiastic about reaching many every week, as the people are so open to the Gospel.
We are grateful to the Lord for the opportunity for my wife and me and our two oldest sons, Juan and David, to attend the Servants’ Conference three hours away with Pastor Wilkerson. We were blessed by the teaching and time of fellowship with Brazilian pastors and workers.
We thank the Lord for our children who are wholeheartedly serving the Lord in various ministries in the church. Amy and I enjoy listening to David teach Sunday school and Juan preach on Sunday evenings. During the Tuesday evening Bible study and discipleship, Chloe helps with activities for the kids. As the men are available, Nathanael and Sergio also preach once a month. Anita and Maria help with the visitation. Vinny and Lazarus help with the sound system. Natalia helps with the Bible Quiz questions. Valdeneia is helping Esther and Chloe in children’s church.
Lucas is a 10-year-old neighbor who comes on his own to church. David led him to the Lord, and he has really grown as a Christian in the last several months. Duda’s elderly grandmother Maria brought her and her baby brother to church for several years. Sadly, Maria passed away last year. Duda (10 years) and her younger brother Heitor (5 years) love to come to children`s church. We miss Maria Adriana, yet we thank the Lord her grandkids have a place where they can learn of Jesus’ love for them and grow in the Lord.
Thank you for praying for the ministry here, reaching lost souls in Brazil.
In His service,
Missionary Juan Vallejo and Family
