Jeremy and Sandra Barker Prayer Letter: Nearing Our DestinationThe visas are in for our youngest 2, and we have purchased our plane tickets! We will be departing from Greensboro, North Carolina, for Port Harcourt, Nigeria on March 6. We are not taking a shipping container; however, we will be traveling with 14 checked bags, 5 carry-ons, 7 personal items, and 1 double stroller. Also, Sandra and I will have the youngest 2 children in our laps throughout the 17-plus hours of flight time, so please pray for us (me especially, Alex does NOT like to sit still). Also, please continue to pray for our health. We all got malaria the first time we went to Nigeria (except for our oldest son). Joanna is only going to be 3 months old when we return, and we especially don’t want her to get sick.

I’ve mentioned Ayo in a few of our prayer letters. He is the gentleman I originally met in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, who was originally from Omagwa, Nigeria. He recently came to hear me present our ministry and preach at Gospel Light Baptist Church of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. I was very happy to meet his wife Hannah, his son Jesse, and their new baby Jayden for the first time. Pastor Brian Johnston was kind enough to take a picture of all of us together.

Please continue to pray that we can get our visas upgraded to residency permits, as this will allow us to stay in Nigeria for at least 2 years before needing to be renewed. We would also appreciate prayers for us as we adapt to the new culture we will soon find ourselves in, as well as God’s leading in housing, generator, battery-backup system, air-conditioning units, appliances, furniture, and a reliable vehicle suitable for at least the 7 of us. We could not have made it this far without your prayers and support. Thank you for enabling us to do the work that God has called us to do.

Working hard to bring fruit to your account,

Jeremy, Sandra, Carina, Barrett, Henry, Alex, & Joanna
