James and Linda Belisle Prayer Letter: Preaching from the USA to Argentina to AfricaThank you once again for praying for me as I travel here in the United States and overseas. I just celebrated my 71st birthday while in Nigeria. There really was no celebration as such since I was stuck in Frankfurt, Germany, on Friday, October 31, and flying to Nigeria on Saturday, November 1, which was my birthday. I will get to that story further in the letter.

On the second weekend of September, Linda and I were in Bettendorf, Iowa, with Pastor Mark Cannon and the Hope Baptist Church. We had a weekend Missions Conference. I thank God I was able to go soul winning with the pastor on Saturday. Later in the month, we were with Pastor Bill McCoy at the Northwoods Baptist Church. We had a good meeting with these fine folks. I was once again preaching on missions. Both churches cared for our every need and blessed us with wonderful love offerings.

On October 2, I headed to Argentina, where I preached for Missionaries Larry Owens and Joshua Owens. I preached for Joshua’s anniversary service. We had a wonderful crowd, with four people getting saved during the invitation. Larry had me teach in his Bible college on “Finishing the Race.” It was a blessing to preach to his people at Bethel Baptist Church for multiple services. I was also able to preach in three other churches, one in the country and the other two in Tucuman.

I arrived home on October 14. I was able to preach in two more Missions Conferences during October. I preached for Pastor Andrew Coblentz at the Decatur Baptist Church in Little Hocking, Ohio. Upon arriving back home, I flew to Austin, Texas, to be with Pastor Adam Thompson at the Capitol City Baptist Church. Both churches cared for our every need and blessed us with wonderful love offerings. I was told later that three people got baptized the following week because of the message I preached Sunday morning at Capitol City.

One day after arriving home on October 28, I flew to Nigeria. Due to a delay in Chicago, I missed my flight to Abuja, Nigeria. Thankfully, United Airlines reimbursed me for my overnight in Frankfurt and booked me on the same flight the next day. I also missed another flight to my next destination. However, I was able to preach at the Grace and Glory Baptist Church and Truth Baptist Church in Abuja, and there were souls saved. I finally arrived in Ibadan, where I was able to preach at the Independent Baptist Church for Pastor Jidi. I finished my time in Nigeria by preaching a revival for the Independent Baptist Church in Calabar for Pastor Nicholas Wayhi. Pastor Wayhi was very pleased with the revival. We saw 8 saved on Sunday morning. There were visitors every night (all were dealt with about salvation after the service) from Sunday through Wednesday, with 14 on the last night of the revival. We were able to preach in 3 schools (100 – 200 in each school) and 3 police stations. At one Civil Defense Station, there were 200 attendees.

Please pray for me as I plan my 2026 schedule. Your prayers have given me the strength to have this ministry.

Your servant,

Missionary Evangelist James Belisle
