Go Oishi Prayer Letter: Joining Forces With New and Familiar Faces

We want to thank you for your prayers and investments as we blaze through the beginning stages of deputation. Two months in and we have already seen God provide in ways only possible where prayer is abundant. We are thrilled to share with you some of these blessings.

Occasionally, we have the pleasure of seeing the fruits of a seed sown in the past. I met Justin for the first time at his door while out soul winning at the beginning of the year. The first Sunday of this month, I had the joy of seeing him and his entire family get baptized! They have been faithfully attending church in my absence.
We had the privilege of visiting our old bus routes during our time in Indiana. It was very sweet to see the spiritual growth of the bus kids my wife and I invested in during our college years. We are privileged to have co-laborers in Christ who can nurture the flock the Lord allows us to bring in along the way.

FBMI Missions University was a huge blessing to me and my wife. We had the privilege of learning from and fellowshipping with both veteran and new missionaries alike. Our biggest takeaways, however, were the friendships formed during this time. It was a sweet moment to have dear friends and mentors lay their hands on me to appoint me as an FBMI missionary.

This month, God allowed us to be in eight different churches, go soul winning with three of those churches, and bring our support level up to a little over 5%! Please pray for the Lord’s favor on scheduling churches, our upcoming meetings, and our survey trip to Japan at the end of August.

Thank you for your continued prayers for our deputation trail! It is a joy to serve our God.
