We are so excited for what the Lord has prepared for us this new year! The Lord gave us some time in the beginning of January to work hard at scheduling meetings for 2020. We still have some open dates for this year. Please pray that we will receive more opportunities to schedule meetings at churches. You can get the word out, too, by following us on Facebook and liking and sharing our posts. If you have a pastor friend, please tell him about us and our ministry.
Even in scheduling meetings, God continues to show Himself evident in our lives. A pastor called me one afternoon. He told me that one of his scheduled missionaries had just canceled his meeting at their church. Moments after getting off the phone with the missionary, the pastor went to check the mail and received our information packet. He opened it, reviewed it, and realized the connection we had through many of the people we knew. This was definitely of the Lord! Then he called me to schedule us for that Missions Conference. It’s amazing how God works!
Our meetings in the beginning part of the spring season brought us to the Southeastern part of the U.S. Faith Independent Baptist Church of McDonough, Georgia, has a great ministry by providing a long-term stay for missionaries in their missions house. I am writing this letter in the comforts of their amazing home. Pastor McIntyre allowed me to preach and present our ministry on our first day there. It’s been nice to have a home away from home and a hub we can come back to in between meetings here in the South. We are so grateful for the generosity and love of this sweet church!
A couple of days later, we traveled to New Bern, North Carolina, to be with Dr. Jeff Owens and Twin Rivers Baptist Church. This is the meeting I had mentioned scheduling earlier. We were spoiled beyond measure there! While out soul winning, I was able to meet and lead Victor, Asia, and CJ to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Door knocking still works! From New Bern we traveled back to Atlanta for one night and then headed to Theodore, Alabama, to be with Pastor Randy Tewell and Lighthouse Baptist Church for their Missions Conference. This is a church that is really moving for the cause of Christ! I was able to present and preach to the young and old in various aspects of their ministry. It was good to see many folks I went to college with, still serving strong in the Lord there. From there we traveled down the road to see Pastor Crane and Temple Baptist Church in Gulfport, Mississippi. I’m thankful for the opportunity to share our burden there!
We would like to welcome our new supporters for this month: Grace Baptist Church of North Ridgeville, Ohio; First Baptist Church of Pecatonica, Illinois; Baptist Temple of Franklin, Pennsylvania; Twin Rivers Baptist Church of New Bern, North Carolina; and Lighthouse Baptist Church of Theodore, Alabama. Thank you for choosing to invest in this great work! We’ve had a great start to the year! Please continue to pray for Australia and for our efforts to reach the lost “Down Under”!
Your servant in Christ,
Garry Tingson
