It is written, “I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.” (Romans1:14-15) One of my most pressing challenges this year is to be prepared always to break the ice and present the Gospel to every single soul I encounter in every situation. I have been pressed in the Spirit to map out all the companies of every community I visit while on deputation and witness to these people. We owe them the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Several of them are spiritually on life support; they are lost, dying, and on their way to Hell. A great number of people spend most of their time at work; they work seven days a week. Some have night shifts. We can, however, strategically take the Gospel to them while at work. I allocated much of my time for the month of May to these precious souls. The following is the story of Deon.
May 2017
While canvasing some apartments on our bus route, God allowed us to cross paths with Deon a little over a year ago. We dealt with his salvation and found out that he was already a born-again Christian. We signed up his kids to be on the bus the following Sunday. It took several trips to Deon’s apartment before his kids started coming to church. His irregular schedule would not allow him to come to church. However, I felt pricked in my heart to make weekly stops at his place to initiate a discipleship time. We were able to plant several seeds, mostly during the month of May, as he suffered us to witness to and pray for his family. Deon is one out of millions of people worldwide with irregular work schedules to whom we are debtors. We owe them the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray for Deon and his family to be in church and get proper discipleship.
The little things that the Holy Spirit points out are truly everything. Praise the Lord for the amazing ministry of deputation! God opened a door for me to visit some churches in California. I was able to witness to several people at every stop; I was able to witness at restaurants, gas stations, and hotels. I was able to meet some first-time visitors and encourage them. One lady had just gone through a divorce. One man’s dad was in hospice care. God used me to encourage one teenage boy to be faithful to the local church. Deeply do I thank God for the incredible sacrifices and love of all those churches in hosting me!
Praise the Lord for a new supporting church: Central Coast Baptist Church of Marina, California!
June 2017
The month of June was a full, busy, and blessed month. I thank God for the many opportunities to serve Him. I spent most of my time serving in various ministries around church, while making calls to schedule meetings in different churches. I was also able to visit and spend some time with my Sunday school class members and their families. Please pray for them, as several of them live in broken and dysfunctional homes. We only have them for 3 hours a week, and the world has them for 165 hours. Laboring for these kids in prayer before the throne of grace is a must. Please pray for their families too.
I thank God for Pastor Ralstin and for the privilege to serve in several areas of the ministry here at Lighthouse Baptist Church. We were able to get two buses ready for the Bus Ministry. Praise the Lord! Through the great leadership of Pastor Ralstin, God has, over the years, brought to Lighthouse Baptist Church and saved thousands of people by the faithfulness of His people. Many of them were baptized and discipled.
I thank God for the many soul-winning opportunities too. As we went soul winning in June, we were able to see a great number of souls come to trust Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Glory to God! “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.” (Luke 15:7)
Please pray for my deputation schedule to be full and for good health, strength, and diligence with God’s revealed will. Again, thank you deeply for your prayerful and financial support!
