Darrell Ratcliff Prayer Letter: Preaching the Gospel in Public Schools!Season’s greetings from our family to yours! The greatest Gift that has ever been given was the Lord Jesus Christ, Who was born, died, and rose again. What a privilege we have to declare this message to the world!

Praise the Lord for the great opportunity I had to preach the Gospel in the country of Bolivia! I was able to visit my friend and a great missionary, Xavier Lopez, in the city of Santa Cruz. Pastor Lopez and his family were so kind to me. They have supported us since the very beginning of our ministry. We started out with a great Soul-Winning Conference, with souls saved and God’s people challenged, instructed, and motivated to take the Gospel to the lost. During the week, the plan was to preach in public schools, and although they hadn’t really done that before, the Lord blessed in a powerful way. Of course, whenever we do evangelistic campaigns, many times there are challenges, problems, and obstacles to overcome. For instance, I got sick and had trouble with my voice the entire time I was there. There were issues with sound systems and teachers not helping with the students, etc., but we are more than conquerors through the Lord Jesus Christ. We must never quit preaching Christ! We preached the Gospel to over 7,000 people that week, and glory to God, the majority of the people to whom we preached received Christ as their Saviour!

Later I was with Pastor Cristian Lara, who has a great work in Cochabamba, Bolivia. He is a graduate from Mount Zion Bible Institute in Mexico City, where the pastor of the church is Dr. Kevin Wynne. He was hoping to get special permission which would have allowed us to get into many more schools, but he was not able to get it in time. The Lord still blessed in a wonderful way, allowing us to preach the Gospel to well over 3,000 students, with the majority of them receiving Christ as their Saviour as well. Praise the Lord! Pastor Lara has just gotten some permission to have more access into the schools, which will allow him to possibly reach tens of thousands more people for Christ.

I believe that in most Spanish-speaking countries, around half the nation’s people are under the age of 20. So Pastor Lopez, Pastor Lara, and other pastors and churches have a great evangelistic opportunity to reach thousands or millions for Christ. There are also discipleship opportunities to go back into the schools to instruct, motivate, and help the students. Central and South America seem open, for the most part, in public schools to help the students with values, drug issues, etc., and, most importantly, the preaching of the Gospel. We just need to pray that God would raise up more evangelists, along with pastors and laborers to do the work of an evangelist, to reach these precious young people for Christ!

Thank you so much for all of your love, prayers, and support that are helping us to reach precious souls for the Lord. Please visit our website, PredicaACristo.com, for free evangelistic material. May God richly bless you and use you in a greater way for the Lord Jesus Christ! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Yours for souls,

Darrell, Buffy, and Michael
