It is so exciting what God is allowing us to do through your love, prayers, and support. Through your help, precious souls are coming to know Christ, and lives are being changed for His glory and honor.
In April I preached in a conference in extremely hot Campeche, Mexico. Many life-changing decisions were made, with Christians committing to be steadfast for the Lord and abounding in the work that He has for them, with precious souls being saved.
Later I was helping the young church that we helped to establish in Irapuato, Mexico. The young Christians are growing by leaps and bounds in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. I have encouraged them to do all they can to get the Gospel out. They go to a hospital and give out bread, and then they give them the Bread of Life, the Lord Jesus Christ, the spiritual food that satisfies for all eternity. They are also preaching on a local television station to spread the Gospel in the surrounding area. The church averages around 200 different people who attend their services on Sundays. I have encouraged them to have more services to grow and reach more people for Christ. I believe soon they may need to find new facilities to accommodate the crowds.
I was so excited to help this young church do an evangelistic outreach in the city. On Friday we did two evangelistic clubs. We used some megaphones and some costumes and went around the area, inviting folks to the event. We had games, Christian songs, a skit, and, of course, the preaching of the Word of God. God blessed in a wonderful way, with many trusting Christ as their Saviour. On Saturday we did a big rally at a park, announcing on the television, putting banners in public places, handing out flyers at the schools, and going through the local area with megaphones announcing the great event. We prayed and worked hard, and the Lord blessed with around 2,000 people attending the rally. It was truly a great outreach in the city of Irapuato. The Lord blessed as I preached the Gospel, and in the two days over 1,450 people trusted Christ as their Saviour. Praise the Lord for what He did there, but there is so much more to do. “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:37-38)
Truly God is doing some great things, but there are also great expenses. Please continue to pray for the finances to be provided to keep this soul-saving ministry possible. Thank you so much for all your prayers for God’s power, protection, and provision for this ministry. We could not do what we are doing without your faithfulness.
Yours for souls,
Darrell Ratcliff
