The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength . . . .” This year has been a time of renewed strength for our ministry, as well as for our family.
Renewed Strength in Our Ministry
The Javier Nájera family, who moved down from Mexico to work with us, has brought renewed strength to our church. Since their arrival in January, our attendance has gone up, our number of soul winners has gone up, and our salvations have gone up. They have been involved in many ministries, including soul winning, bus routes, visitation, Junior Church, Sunday school, Bible institute, and Vacation Bible School.
I also thank the Lord for the way many people in our church have stepped up to serve. We used Spring Break for a Vacation Bible School. We had an average attendance of 120, and 50 children accepted Christ as their Saviour. We had 28 people from our church step up to the plate to make this week a great success. Many of the visitors returned on Sunday, bringing their parents with them. It was a time of great spiritual growth as the workers united to meet the needs of the children.
Renewed Strength in Our Family
Our family has also felt renewed strength, as we have moved out of the church building and are renting our own house. My wife is delighted to be able to live more on schedule and raise our girls in more of a home environment, and our girls are excited to get to have many animals they weren´t able to have at the church.
Renewed Strength in My Health
I have felt renewed strength as I have learned the correct diet for someone with Celiac disease. It has been a slow process, but I thank the Lord that I am now able to do much more than before. The only problem remaining is my eyes. I will be going to see an eye doctor soon to see what needs to be done about that, so your prayers would be greatly appreciated concerning this matter.
Thank you all for your faithfulness that has brought us to this point. I pray that the Lord would meet your needs as He has met ours and that He would renew your strength as you need it.
His for souls,
