As the year draws to a close, we are taking some time to reflect on all of the things that God has done in 2024 in our family and ministry. Our entire family has been blessed with very good health over the last 12 months. Erin and the children are doing well in their homeschooling. We are also becoming more acclimated to day-to-day life here. We were thrilled to be able to host Erin’s parents for 2 weeks back in July! We’ve seen souls saved in our personal soul-winning efforts. Erin and I have worked with 6 different people doing one-on-one discipleship. We’ve been able to travel and work with other churches in starting institutes, planning Marriage Seminars, preaching Youth Meetings and Anniversary Services, and much more!
Thank you to those who prayed for the Marriage Seminar that we helped to host in November. We, along with 2 seasoned pastors, spent 2 days with 6 area pastors and their wives. We taught on Biblical concepts of marriage and fielded many questions. Those who attended were very thankful and gave testimonies that their marriages were greatly helped by the seminar!
On the last Sunday of November, our church had an “Outreach Sunday.” Instead of everyone meeting at the church on that Sunday morning, we held church services at 18 different church members’ home areas. We hosted a service at our house and were thrilled that 43 of our neighbors came. The Gospel was given clearly in both Sunday school and the main service, and we recorded 2 salvations! We greatly enjoyed getting to meet some of those neighbors for the first time and hopefully open the door to more Gospel conversations in the future! In total at the 18 different locations, 882 people attended, and 55 salvations were recorded!
January 7-13, 2025, I will be traveling with a couple of our local pastors to Kwara state, where we will be visiting some Fulani villages. We currently have multiple students from these villages in our Bible college and even a graduate. The purpose of the trip is to preach the Gospel, teach some who have already been saved, and survey the area for a potential church plant in the future. Please pray that God would direct our steps in this endeavor! The trip will cost around $1,200. If you would like to give to offset some of the expenses, I am confident that you will see “fruit that may abound to your account.”
