“Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.” (II Corinthians 1:11)
Your faithful support means much to us. You enable us to serve many people, missionaries, and national believers in turn. They are thankful as well!
= God’s Grace in the Family =
In July, Mom graduated to Heaven unexpectedly. Thankfully, we were able to drive to Colorado to help Dad with the funeral plans and preparation. Preparing the obituary and funeral message, the Lord gave direction when Dad spoke of her genuine, biblical fear of God. Truly it’s been theirs together, yielding so many blessings through 65 years of marriage and faithful, effective Christian service. From my early days, I remember them speaking of the mission field, praying for missionaries, and giving to missions. I’m deeply indebted to them for a lifetime of priceless, constructive spiritual influence.
= God’s Grace in the Ministry =
Recent weeks have been packed with prayer, planning, and preparation for the upcoming year. Financial, administrative, ongoing training, and ministry-material services for the missionaries are being improved. Through the church, we’re growing in capability to help people with their spiritual concerns. At the college, we’re strengthening the missions curriculum with attention to the knowledge and spiritual skills that missionaries need to accomplish their work in this ever-changing world.
= God’s Grace in Soul Winning =
Witnessing for Christ is an amazing adventure. Stepping out of our comfort zone to visit someone’s doorstep with the Gospel, we get to see evidence of the Lord’s sovereign work. Knocking doors in Harvey, I met a Spanish-speaking man from the Mexican border who was in this area to visit a friend. Adrian trusted Christ with joy and enthusiasm. We marveled to see God’s grace and timing.
= Depending on God’s Grace for the Future =
1. For God’s blessings on the upcoming trip to California and Arizona in October for missions conferences, that souls would be saved and God would call some to full-time service
2. For God’s provision and blessing as we renew my medical license and fulfill family-practice continuing-education requirements before the end of the year
That all might hear, everywhere,
