We trust that you are experiencing God’s blessings in your lives, families, and ministries.
Our Lord continues to bless, doing what only He can do. How great to see His providence, first softening hearts and then arranging the time of our arrival so we might present the Gospel. In one neighborhood, a man was doing repairs on the roof and chimney. He was courteous but obviously busy, so I planned to leave a tract on his windshield. Then the renter arrived, talkative but uninterested in spiritual things. By the time he went inside, the worker had come down the ladder and was free for a moment. We began to talk; he heard the Gospel and joyfully trusted Christ as his Saviour. At another home, I knocked, but no one answered. Leaving a tract, I walked back down the sidewalk to the street and started toward the next house. Then the door opened, and the homeowner asked why I’d knocked. Hurrying back, I explained that we were passing out the tracts to invite folks to church. Once she understood the Gospel, with peace and joy, she put her faith in the Lord Jesus for her salvation. It turned out that her sister-in-law, her dear friend, had just died, and she’d been crying all week. With a smile, she told me that now she could stop crying.
Our plate has been full with church and FBMI work and Lana’s Sunbeam Department. Highlights include trips for meetings in North Carolina and Kansas and the annual First Baptist Church Youth Conference. This year’s FBMI Missions University was focused on church growth and multiplication; all of us enjoyed teaching our sessions, and God blessed with the best attendance ever. We then enjoyed our first-ever FBMI Couples’ Retreat for the missionary guests. God blessed the teaching, and the spirit was great.
Please pray for the following needs:
1. Lord enabling, two of us are going to Egypt in early October to teach in their Bible college for a week. Please pray that the Lord’s direction would be clear and that His power would be evident.
2. On returning from Egypt, we leave right away for Missions Conferences in Arizona and California. Please pray for journey mercies and for God’s blessing on each one.
3. Planning is in motion for next year’s trip to the Upper Amazon region of Peru. We’re seeking God’s
will, direction, provision, and blessing.
With grateful hearts for your faithful prayers and support,
Dan and Lana Siemer
