Thank you for your prayers and faithful support for the campaign in the capital city of Chiapas. The Lord is working here in a wonderful way.
The people of Chiapas are a little different from the other people where we have worked in Mexico, in that they have had very little exposure to the Gospel. The area we have been working in is also a working-class area, not a poor area. Nevertheless, many of the people here have now heard a clear presentation of the Gospel and made decisions, some for courtesy, but many have sincerely considered the principles of the Gospel. We have not had as many workers here as in the other campaigns this year either, but still the Lord is not limited. The new church here is getting off to a slow start, but a good start nonetheless, and not for lack of effort.
I was invited to preach the first Missions Conference in the new church here and was surprised to have seven other churches attend the conference. It was good to see our meeting place overflowing. The Lord used Viry with the ladies and James Buskager, who has been working with us this year, with the children. The new church wants to start supporting their first missionary.
Viry and I will be home for Christmas and make a necessary trip to the border in the first week of January. In the middle of January, we will be heading to the city of Puebla for an eight-week endeavor with the new church there. It would be nice to have more workers. We certainly need your prayers.
We are deeply grateful for the privilege and honor to be one of your missionaries and/or in your prayers. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. We are praying for you also.

Gracias por vuestras oraciones y fiel apoyo a la campaña en Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. El Señor está obrando aquí.
La gente de Chiapas es un poco diferente de las otras personas en las que hemos trabajado en México, ya que han tenido muy poca exposición al evangelio. La zona en la que hemos estado trabajando también es una zona de clase trabajadora, no una zona pobre. Sin embargo, muchas de las personas aquí han escuchado una presentación clara del evangelio y han tomado decisiones, algunas por cortesía, pero muchas han considerado sinceramente los principios del evangelio. Tampoco hemos tenido tantos trabajadores aquí como en las otras campañas de este año, pero aun así el Señor no está limitado. La nueva iglesia aquí está empezando lentamente, pero un buen comienzo, al fin y al cabo, y no por falta de esfuerzo.
Me invitaron a predicar la primera conferencia misionera en la nueva iglesia aquí y me sorprendió que asistieran otras 7 iglesias. Fue bueno
ver que nuestro lugar de reunión estaba a rebosar. El Señor usó a Viry con las señoras y a James Buskager, que ha estado trabajando con nosotros este año, con los niños. La nueva iglesia quiere empezar a apoyar a su primer misionero.
Viry y yo estaremos en casa por Navidad y haremos un viaje necesario a la frontera la primera semana de enero. A mediados de enero, nos dirigiremos a la ciudad de Puebla para un esfuerzo de 8 semanas con la nueva iglesia allí. Sería bueno tener más trabajadores. Sin duda necesitamos sus oraciones.
