Chad Inman Prayer Letter: And All Things, Whatsoever Ye Shall Ask in Prayer, Believing, Ye Shall Receive

“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22)

As we finish a long and fruitful stretch of Western meetings this October, we want to thank each church for their hospitality and generosity towards our family. Including firm commitments, our support is at 74%. We praise the Lord for our safety in travel, our van (Fred) staying healthy, church-member blessings, and, of course, all of your prayers regarding our deputation success and return to Thailand. We are prayerful and hopeful our return will be in April of 2018, if not sooner—only six months away!

Praises

Our needs as a family are being met, even as we have crossed the country twice in the last two months. Once for Sarah’s grandma’s funeral near Cincinnati and once for a missions conference in Kentucky, the Lord covered all with our gas, places to stay, van maintenance, healthy food, and alertness as we traveled. Occasionally, long trips happen, and these longer distances have always proven to be good. Please pray for all traveling missionaries you may know, given the ease and fragility for things to go wrong.

While attending a missions conference at Victory Baptist Church in Chino, California, several people trusted in the Lord through soul-winning efforts and visitors attending the conference. Pastor Pattison had been praying to increase many areas of the church prior to the conference. Not only were folks saved, but over 40 people went out soul winning on Saturday. Sarah led a 50-year-old man named David to the Lord. David said he tried to please God, but always felt like he fell short. David learned how to be saved by grace through faith and not by works.

In a missions conference at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Vacaville, California, a young man, Julian, trusted in Jesus for salvation. He attended on the last day of the eight-day conference, came forward to be saved, and made a public profession of faith to the church afterwards. I had the honor of preaching and testifying how God saved me while Pastor Snodderly assisted Julian when he came forward at the end of the service.

Our times with Pastor Paisley at Riverview Baptist Church were tremendous. Presentations were made at three different services, and I was able to preach at the main service. The next day Pastor Paisley had me preach on the church radio station and to the Christian school.

At Hopewell Baptist Church in Longmont, Colorado, Pastor Seulean led a middle-aged mom to the Lord while out soul winning. Additional people were saved at the conference under the preaching of Pastor Darryl Reeves, the conference speaker. Overall, the Lord blessed our time there.

While attending a missions conference at New Zion Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Kentucky, all three children from one family trusted in Jesus to save them from their sins and take them to Heaven. Nathan Hurst, the son of Pastor Darrell Hurst, gave a complete conveyance of God’s plan of salvation in a way clear enough for those children to fully understand and pray/ask for the free gift of being saved. I think about the hardships we face in this world every day and how God is the only one Who breaks through all of the depression, grief, worry, and fear this world presents. The way we show, display, and represent God to others is so super important!

Prayer Requests

Our Team Thailand leader and pastor, Bro. Tim Shook, returned to the U.S., presenting an opportunity for a ministry land purchase in Thailand to further the cause of Christ deep into future generations. If your church is open to a one-time giving opportunity of this kind, please contact Bro. Tim Shook at shooktnm@gmail.com for more information and details (video, timing, etc.). Land possession would allow all monies given towards monthly rent to be shifted directly towards the outreach of the Thai people, making a lasting difference for Christianity in Thailand.

Grateful to serve,

Chad Inman and Family
