I’m writing from my father’s email on his behalf, as he is currently unable to write, to update you on his health following his ischemic stroke on June 4, 2025, in Tucumán, Argentina. After experiencing dizziness and colliding with a sign while walking in town, a passerby and a police officer assisted him in getting to the hospital. Dad spent 24 hours in the ER, followed by eight days under observation, during which the medical team conducted several tests. He was discharged on June 12 and is now at home.
Dad is in good spirits, though he has no movement in his left arm and continues to experience some instability when walking. He can eat and hold conversations, and we are grateful that this was a light stroke with a stable condition. After prayerful consideration, we have decided to take him back to the United States for specialized treatment to support his recovery. Lord willing, we hope he will fully recover without significant delay and return to Argentina to continue his ministry. We plan to travel to Washington, Iowa, on June 22.
Moving forward, Dad needs to adjust his work schedule to reduce stress and enhance his effectiveness in ministry. Please pray for Dad’s complete recovery, for safe travels, for wisdom for the medical doctors in the U.S., and for strength for our family during this transition. Thank you for your steadfast prayers and partnership. We will keep you updated on his progress.
