During the month of March, we found ourselves in Ohio, New York, and Michigan for meetings and Missions Conferences. As soon as the Missions Conference at our home church wrapped up at the end of February, we headed to Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville, Ohio. We’re thankful for the sweet fellowship we had and the opportunity to share the need of the Gospel in Kenya, East Africa.
After Ohio, we came back to Michigan for a Missions Conference at Green Meadows Bible Baptist Church. It was a wonderful time spent in God’s Word. The highlight of the conference for Ali and me was on Sunday morning when we had the blessed opportunity to teach the teen class. After the lesson time, I gave an invitation to ask the teens about salvation. One young man named Jesse was not sure and admitted that he had not been saved. After talking with him one on one at the end of class and going over the Gospel with him, the Holy Spirit continued to work on him, and before we left class to head to the main service that morning, he prayed unto the Lord and asked Jesus Christ to be his own personal Saviour. Amen! Afterwards, we found out that the church had been praying that Jesse would trust Christ for quite some time. I’m so thankful that God had us there at that moment and allowed us to be used of Him to reach this young man with the Gospel of Christ!
Jeffrey was able to have the surgery to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. Thank you so much for all of the prayers, cards, and emails for him. He is a trooper and is doing great. The hardest thing for him was that he could not play actively for two to three weeks. How do you stop a five-year-old boy from wanting to play?!
I also had a chance to preach to 9 men at our local downtown jail, and 3 of the men placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour at the end of service. I’m so thankful that God’s saving grace is extended unto all who will simply trust in Him!
The last Missions Conference we were in was in New York at Lighthouse Baptist Church. We felt right at home during the entire week, so much so, that it was bittersweet saying goodbye to everyone as we headed to our next meeting. While we were there, I had the chance to go with a few of the men to New York City to pick up two new buses for their Bus Ministry. It was a great time of fellowship, laughter, and encouragement. I’m very thankful for the godly families God brings along our way to support and strengthen us as we serve Him.
We closed out the month of March back in Michigan with one last meeting. God was in every meeting and in every way has been so good to us! We truly serve an amazing God Who supplies all our needs. Thank you for all your prayers and support as we serve the Lord and make our way to Kenya, East Africa.
Your co-labourers for lost souls across East Africa,
Brandon, Ali, Jeffrey, Hannah, & Esther Heselschwerdt
