As summer comes to a close, so does our traveling in the warmer states! We finished up our last meeting in Texas at Heritage Baptist Church in Jefferson. There we were blessed to have dinner with the assistant pastor and his family. On Sunday we were able to teach Sunday school and present our ministry to East Africa before hitting the road for Winchester, Kentucky.
Once we arrived in Kentucky, we joined Landmark Baptist Church for their annual Missions Conference. I was able to enjoy some fishing and some great fellowship. The kids had a blast in the bounce house and riding ponies. My favorite time was listening to other missionaries preach each night, as well as getting to fellowship with them while at the conference. On the Saturday following the Missions Conference, our family had the opportunity to join some men in the church out street preaching. Thank you, Bro. Jim, for allowing us to tag along.
From Landmark Baptist Church, we went an hour southeast to Sugar Camp Baptist Church in Booneville, Kentucky. Pastor Charlton invited us out to an old-fashioned tent revival meeting that they were having with some other Baptist churches from the area. I was able to set up our table, and God blessed us with another meeting in November of this year. We were able to present and preach Sunday morning and Sunday night. Praise the Lord for what He is doing through the preaching from the revival meetings!
From Kentucky we made our way to Lexington, South Carolina, to be with a good pastor I have known through my pastor for quite some time. We spent the week with Gethsemane Baptist Church and Pastor Williamson. It was nice to have some fellowship with him and his family, as well as meet all those at the church. I’m thankful for the message he preached Sunday morning because it encouraged me greatly, and I pray our family was able to bless them during our presentation, as well as the preaching during the evening service. We also had a meeting during the midweek service up in Trinity, North Carolina, at Liberty Baptist Church where we were given the chance to present and preach for them.
After South Carolina, we continued to move south to Tampa, Florida, to share our ministry to East Africa and preach all three services for Smyrna Baptist Church. We had a great time of fellowship and encouragement. From Florida we went back north to North Carolina to have a Zoom meeting with a church in Walnut Cove and to have a video presentation at Andrews Memorial Baptist Church in Graham, North Carolina. We also want to say a big thank you to Andrews Memorial Baptist Church for allowing us to use their RV hookup at their campground. Due to COVID-19, there was no one else there, and the kids had about 100 acres of freedom to play. We got some much-needed rest and family time. Thank you!
We hope that in the midst of everything going on, you are still enjoying your summer and sharing Christ with those you encounter. Thank you all for the continued prayers and support. May God bless you.
