Praise the Lord for the wonderful month we have been blessed with! We began this month by going to the opening home football games for both Michigan State University and Albion College to pass out the Word of God to those going into the games. God allowed us to reach out to many souls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Lord gave me the opportunity to go into our local jail to preach the Gospel to the men. Twenty-seven men came out to the service, and the Lord blessed our time spent together. Praise God! Five men came to receive Jesus as their Saviour!!
The most exciting event for our family this month was our Survey Trip to Kenya, Africa. We were blessed to see what the Lord is doing through the Richey and Morris families in Nairobi, Kenya. It was a huge blessing to be able to stay with and learn from missionaries who are on the field, serving with such joy and a passion for lost souls. We had a couple of different discipleship meetings throughout the week. Through this, we were able to see one young lady saved, and another young man showed a great desire to know how to become an active soul winner. We also had the blessed opportunity to preach in two different schools. After preaching in one of the schools, we had four young students come forward to be saved; and after going through the Gospel with them, all four came to call upon the Lord to save them. Praise God! While out soul winning with some of the church members, the Lord blessed with four people accepting Jesus as their own personal Saviour! In every way, God blessed during our survey trip.
On our way back from Kenya, my wife and I began to pray, read our Bibles, and seek God’s plan for our family. As we did, we could not forget the countless souls that are all over Nairobi, Kenya, open to the Gospel but lost in darkness with no one to share the Gospel with them. We found ourselves asking the question, “If we don’t go to Kenya to tell the lost of Jesus, who will?” The Lord confirmed in our lives that we are to go to Kenya to join in the work that He is doing there through Team East Africa.
