Brandon and Ali Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: Teen Conference and PPTA GraduationFor the month of August, we had one of our busiest months, and it seems that it was over just as fast as it began. We opened the month with a Teen Conference at Calvary Baptist Church in Ruaka, Kenya. Our teens had been looking forward all year to this conference! To say that they had a blast while making lifelong memories would be an understatement. My wife and I were blessed to see how much they have grown spiritually from the conference! Thank you to all those who prayed for our youth and this conference.

Just a week after the Teen Conference, we also had the blessing of seeing 12 pastors from central and western Kenya graduate from the first PPTA program we conducted with our team leader, Peter Morris. I was honored to be a part of the graduation ceremony we had for these men and to see how far they have come in their walk with the Lord! Please continue to pray for these men, as the real work begins as they shepherd God’s flock and spiritually lead the people that God has entrusted them with.

Please continue to pray for this wonderful ministry (PPTA – Pastors’ Practical Training Academy), as it helps many national pastors across Kenya to be strengthened in the Word of God and, therefore, helps strengthen their churches as they serve the Lord and stand as a beacon of hope to the lost with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ! We are planning to start our next PPTA program in February 2025 and continue through October 2026.

Lastly, after a busy month with church services, a Teen Conference, and our PPTA graduation, our family was able to get away for just a few days in the middle of the week for some family time. It was a blessing to go sightseeing in a part of Kenya we had never seen before and get to know more of the people of this beautiful country.

We thank you for your faithfulness as you continue to pray and support our family in the Lord’s work here in Kenya, East Africa. May the Lord bless the rest of your summer and keep you safe.

Your co-laborers for lost souls across East Africa,

Brandon and Ali Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: Teen Conference and PPTA GraduationMy name is Alice N. Nyakundi,

I am a mother of children. I was born into an immoral family. My father had two wives. When I grew up, I wanted to know the Word of God. When I was twenty-seven years old, I was baptized with a lot of water without knowing what baptism is.

At that time, I was wondering if I would be able to teach my children to come to live as Christians. I personally grew up knowing that good deeds will get me to Heaven.

In 2024, I started to study the Bible, and that is when I learned that you can have eternal life. You must believe in Jesus Christ alone to have eternal life in Heaven with God. I’ve now done that, so now I try to stay away from the evil that will pull me away from Jesus and anger God.

We praise the Lord for what He has done over this last month. We have witnessed 8 new church members through faithful soul winning. We also have been busy with discipleship classes, Bible classes for preschoolers, and prayer meetings. We currently are making bricks, which are for the planning for our church building. Thank you and God bless.

I thank God for the month of August. We praise the Lord that out of 72 people we have shared the Gospel with, 36 of those souls received Jesus Christ. Out of those 36 souls, 2 of them were Muslims. We are also preparing for 4 people to be baptized soon in church.

I’m so glad for the work of God and what He is doing!

Thank you,

Pastor Eliphas
