“The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” (Psalm 126:3)
We are glad to have friends like you who pray and give and allow us to provide the Word of God to those who have never seen a Bible. Another container of Scriptures is well on its way to Bangkok. Dr. Curtis Hall has arrived in time to coordinate the distribution of this much-needed Scripture. Our warehouse in Rangsit is nearly empty again.
Dr. Hall also assisted the Todd Painter family on their arrival in Bangkok. This will be the Painters’ last survey trip before moving to Hua Hin in January 2020 to start language school. The Painter family will be working with the Karen people in Southern Thailand and assisting Team Thailand under the leadership of Tim Shook. God truly has His hand on the work in Southern Thailand. The team is in the process of purchasing their own property. Amazing!
Missionary Andy Long, my distributer in Northern Thailand, informed me that our local printer completed printing all the projects that we laid out in January, and they were delivered to our main distribution center in Rangsit. Dr. Hall organized the material to get it ready to distribute to pastors around that area.
During the month of May, I went a little overboard with having two more major surgeries. My doctor informed me that three surgeries in less than seven weeks was a little too much! Most of June was spent in physical therapy and getting me back on my feet. “The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.”
Would you prayerfully consider joining us for the Second Annual B.E.S.T. Missions Conference in Rogers, Arkansas? The dates are September 2-3, 2019. The first service will be Monday after supper at Colonial Baptist Church. Meals will be provided for the conference. Country Inn & Suites is providing rooms for only $59 per night, but you must make arrangements ahead of time. If you have any questions, you can email Pastor Claud Slate, Sr. at pastor@colonialbaptistrogers.com.
I was very limited in my travels in June because of my surgeries, but by the end of the month, I was back on the road and preaching again. Please pray that I can continue to travel and raise funds for Bibles and materials that are so needed in Southeast Asia and around the world.
This month, another container of Burmese Scripture was loaded and shipped by B.E.S.T. from the BEAMS Warehouse; it should arrive in Bangkok sometime in August. Lord willing, I am planning to be in Thailand to receive this container. Would you please pray that I can recover from health issues and be there to help deliver this material in South Thailand? Lord willing, we should be able to put three containers of Scripture in Southeast Asia this year. What a blessing!
I want to stay busy for the Lord as long as I can. The need is so great, and the time is so short! Psalm 90:12 says, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” I am in the day-counting business, and each day God gives me is a blessing. I want to do the wisest thing with the time I have left on earth to serve the Lord. We must work the works of Him while it is day.
Thank you for your faithfulness and your help with publishing the Scriptures for people around the world. We love you.
Into all the world,
Bob Bowen
