“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:3)
We do believe in the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, don’t we? We must remain busy about the Lord’s work. It is not time to let up now. “Only one life, ’twill soon be passed; only what’s done for Christ will last.”
There was much accomplished last year through BEST Missions in getting the Word of God distributed throughout the world. We were able to send our 41st container to Thailand. This brought our Scripture total for last year to 7,174 whole Bibles, 1,257,510 John & Romans, and 354,750 Gospel tracts. BEST Missions shipped one 40-foot and two 20-foot containers that were delivered to Thailand.
We want to thank so many of you who helped us with purchasing a pickup truck for Tan to use to deliver Scriptures in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
I was able to attend a weeklong revival at Faith Baptist Church in Kilgore, Texas. What a blessing it was to see God working in the lives of believers.
We lost four good friends during the month of January. Most of them were members at Emmanuel Baptist Church for more than 30 years. One was a lady I won to the Lord over 30 years ago. I was asked to preach her funeral. There were over 20 people who trusted the Lord as their personal Saviour. What a blessing it is to be a part of the Homegoing of precious friends.
On February 2, Tan and Pim were wed. I have known Tan since he was three years old. He has taken over the BEST Missions ministry. He has been overseeing the distribution of Scriptures in Southeast Asia for the last several years. He is a fine young man, and he has married a beautiful wife. Please pray for them as they start their new life together.
We were able to attend the annual Missions Conference at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Dr. Don Sisk and Pastor Mark Bentley preached the main services for the conference. Dr. Sisk is 90 years old now and still going for the Lord. I was privileged to preach one time during the conference.
Funerals were held for two more senior saints during the month of February. Thank God for Heaven!
I turned 76 years old this month. It just seems like yesterday that I was in my prime and doing things that I can only dream of doing anymore. I am still able to get out and preach Missions Conferences. I am so thankful that I am still able to travel and to raise funds for BEST Missions and the printing of God’s Word.
My wife had a good checkup in Dallas this month for her kidney transplant, which will be two years ago this May. Thankfully, we are in good enough health to still get around.
Please pray that this will be the best year ever for BEST Missions and getting the Word of God into the hands of believers all over this world. That is our only hope! What would you do if you didn’t have a Bible?
We love you and pray for you. May God put His hand upon your life. We have witnessed firsthand how many folks are going to Heaven. We must stay busy.
Into all the world,
Brother Bowen
