It is amazing to even think that we are already into a brand-new year! I apologize for the delay in getting this prayer–praise update to you. Like so many others, COVID-19 hit our home. Please continue to pray for Becky, as she is still not completely over the many symptoms that present themselves. We are thankful to so many of you who prayed especially for her earlier this month. She is seeing improvements, and for that we praise the Lord.
Here in British Columbia, we are still under restrictions for church gatherings. We can only use 50% of whatever space we are using. Masks are also once again mandated for everyone attending the services. This is much looser than our brothers and sisters in Quebec have it. If I could, I’d like to ask you to please pray for the Bible-preaching churches in Quebec. As of a couple of weeks ago, they are not to have any services other than online ones. We have several dear friends who are taking a stand for the cause of Christ.
One of our goals for 2021 was to have as many men as possible preach for one of the services of Anchor Baptist Church. To God’s glory, we had three laymen preach in 2021! It is our prayer that we continue to “teach others also.” Please join with me in praying for the young men and old men to have a desire to preach the Word of God. We know that not all men are called to pastor or to be a foreign missionary, but many more could be used of God to preach in our local churches.
Another praise in the last quarter of 2021 was the privilege of baptizing 6 new believers! Please pray for Blair, Ezra, Mateo, Mahdi (Iran), Simar (India), and Leo to continue to grow in their walk with the Lord. In spite of the ever-changing restrictions, we are rejoicing in our never-changing God and His continued working in our midst.
As we look ahead into 2022, our family is changing once again. Our youngest daughter Emma will be graduating in May from Abeka homeschool. She has already been accepted and is taking several online college classes from Crown College in Powell, Tennessee. Becky and I are thankful to the Lord for Emma’s desire to follow God’s will for her life. Would you please pray with us as she finishes Grade 12 and begins a brand-new journey later this year?
In closing, we are truly blessed to have such faithful prayer and financial supporters. We are asking the Lord for His blessing on each and every one of you. Please let us know how we can pray for you.
