Wow! It’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone. I’m not sure where to begin, but I would like to say thank you for your continued support of our family. To those who have supported us from the beginning nearly four years ago and to those who have begun supporting us in the recent months, thank you. I truly mean it when I say that we could not do this without you.
So much has happened this past year. When we returned to the States last Christmas, it was definitely a nervous time for us. I had a few churches scheduled, but nowhere near enough. However, the Lord blessed, and we were quickly able to begin scheduling meetings. It was, without a doubt, only by the grace of God that we did so. Now for these past twelve months, we have only had one Sunday without a meeting. Some Sundays, we even had two meetings.
We have been able to travel all over the country. We have visited 20 states and made 2 trips to Mexico. We have presented our ministry in 67 different churches, and I have had the opportunity to preach more than 80 times. We have traveled nearly 34,000 miles over the course of this past year. When we started out in January, we were at 10% of our support goal, and we are now at a little over 50% coming in. We have a few more churches that have promised to give, and we are just waiting to see before we officially count it towards our overall goal.
I don’t mention these things to brag, only to say that we are first and foremost grateful to God for His guidance and protection. Secondly, we are grateful to each one of you who has helped us along the way. We could not do what we do without your prayers and support of our family.
As I say often in the churches we visit, it does not make us super Christians because we are missionaries. We are only attempting to do as Romans 12:1 says, “. . . that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice . . . unto God.” That is our “reasonable service.” I cannot think of a greater privilege than that God would use us to bring glory and honor to Himself. Anything we may hope to accomplish is only by the grace of God.
Thank you to each pastor and church that has shown kindness to our family and several individuals as well. We love you and pray for you often. May God bless you and give us both many more years of partnership together.
