During our four months in the States earlier in the year, we were raising funds for property to build our own building. Thank you to all who prayed or helped financially for that endeavor. We reached our goal, but we reported that there were difficulties in getting the money into Brazil. We finally ended up opening an account in a new bank, and we are excited to announce that the money is now here! Pray that the negotiations for the land will go well and that the property will soon officially belong to the church.

The church’s 10th anniversary in September was a great blessing. We had 15 first-time visitors and 5 saved. On Sunday night, we had an attendance of 156. Our son Allen, with Wings Bearing Precious Seed, brought a group of 15 from the States to help. They distributed 30,000 John and Romans booklets and invitations to the Anniversary Conference.

Our daughter Debbie came too, so all of our kids and their spouses were in Brazil. We rented an Airbnb for a family reunion and the celebration of Dan’s 80th birthday after the conference was over. (His birthday was in August). What a rare and blessed treat it was!

Now starts the final marathon of the year—Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday activities! We will spend Thanksgiving at Carl and Cindy’s house. Dan will preach at their church’s Thanksgiving service the day before. We will be at Bryan and Rebekah’s Christmas service in December, and Gerri will do a chalk drawing.

Our church choir is getting ready for the Christmas Cantata on December 21, and Gerri will accompany one number with her bells. Sprinkled in between all of these events will be the Christmas parties and activities for the different age groups, as well as a Thanksgiving dinner for the young people, a typical American menu which they have come to love and look forward to as a yearly tradition. Christmas Day will be celebrated, as is tradition, at our house with all of the Brazilian Johnson crew.
