I am happy to be writing to you from our home in Nigeria. We were able to successfully finish up our last few meetings in the U.S. Then on October 14, we left our house at 1:00 a.m. to begin our worldwide journey back to Nigeria. We are grateful that the flights were smooth and that all of our luggage made it safely. It was also the first time for me that no one asked us for a bribe as we went through immigration or customs. After more than 20 hours of traveling, that helped to make the process of arriving much smoother.

When we arrived, there were a few people from our church to greet us and help us home. One of the men who was helping us with the luggage said, “Wow! So many are here to greet you people. You must be a great man!” While I know that I am not a great man, we are certainly thrilled to be back with our people, whom God has called us to serve.

The first chance I got to go soul winning back in Nigeria, I had the opportunity to share the Gospel with a family of four just outside their home. It was a rare opportunity since I do not usually find an entire family together on a Saturday, but the mother, father, and both of their children were there sitting outside their house. I was concerned that they wouldn’t want to take the time to listen since they told me they regularly attended another church, but they allowed me to present the Gospel to them. I was thrilled that they all decided to trust Christ right there in front of their home. Please pray as I work to bring this family to church and help them to grow.

Please pray for our 2nd Annual Ladies’ Conference coming November 7-9. There are a lot of details and moving pieces that go into a conference like this, so please pray for all the preparations that are going on. Please pray that ladies and pastors’ wives from outside our immediate area will also be able to attend since the cost of transportation has gotten so high recently. Please pray that God will use the conference to instruct, encourage, and work on all the lives of those who attend. We look forward to reporting to you soon what God did during the Ladies’ Conference.
